This from Dellinger The Mountain West continues its attempt to secure its membership with a long-term commitment to the league that features financial incentives for UNLV & Air Force, as reported Friday. The league set a deadline of today for schools to agree to the new grant-of-rights. Gloria not F’ing around Well, sure, because she knows PAC-12 and now AAC are going to target UNLV. She's basically saying take a known now or spin the dice with the unknown. Of course...if UNLV were to leave and a couple more poached off, Gloria would have to do a lot of legwork to continue her league and if the league disbanded... I see she's also out trying to secure a media deal ahead of everyone else. She's trying to lock the Pac out of any broadcast partners for additional West Coast conference. I'll give her this much - when the challenge is tough, she's willing to fight. It's just a shame she keeps trying to overpower everyone instead of work with them.

No hurt with AFA out of the picture. They didn't add anything except a football program that can't come anywhere close to filling its stadium unless it is playing Army or Navy.
If we offer two MWC schools today, they will jump. UNLV should be one of them.
Add Gonzaga and we have a very marketable product, with the 2nd-best basketball program in the country over the past 15 years.

Reading the Boise State board, some are saying they made a mistake getting in bed with the Pac and are wondering if they can get out of their agreement with them - They can't, the paperwork has been signed.

If people just cool their jets a bit and let things shake out, it will be fine and the four MWC schools will be in a superior position. Simply partnering with us, WSU and Gonzaga is a huge step up.

Giving them an equal share is fair as long as NCAA basketball tournament units are shared equally as well once they join the league. Not apples-to-apples, but 2-3 units a year (12-18 over the six-year period) makes a lot of scratch for everyone.

Boise State and San Diego State joined the Big East at one point and got out of that. San Diego State left the Mountain West and got out of that just last year. Until August 1, 2026 rolls around, nothing is really official. Not quite all in pencil. Maybe heavy pencil? Erasable ink?

Giving gonzaga a full share even without football? Anybody ever think that gonzaga might fall flat on their face when Few leaves? Sure they've been good, real good for 25 years but they aren't kentucky or Kansas.

But, yes, I would have concerns if Few left.

UNLV just committed to the MWC. Air Force had already taken the money a couple of hours ago.
