Teams have seemingly decided that the 30 yd line for touchbacks is fine with them. Still booming kicks into the end zone most of the time.
NFL is considering kickoff TBs to come to the 35 now.
Heck, kickers are getting so good, that is close to FG range.

Still say punt the kickoff like after a safety. Also, narrow the field goal posts to 8 yards instead of 10.

Watched part of the Green Bay vs Minnesota game today. GB made a furious comeback after being down 28-0. Had to try an onsides kick with less than a minute left in th e4th. NOW there is an odd rule...Can only be done in the 4th and must declare it to be an onsides (no surprises any more).

Still say punt the kickoff like after a safety. Also, narrow the field goal posts to 8 yards instead of 10. NFL uprights are 18 feet, 6 inches apart. That's 6.5 yards, already narrower than you want.
