It's a double edged sword though. Need them to show some hope (besides the CW of course) so they keep Helfrich forever. Kind of like I wished with Bob Toledo at UCLA.

Gotta really hand it to Hoke - made some adjustments and stopped the trend of more points allowed each week - 26, 35, 41, 51, 70 and now only 52.
Kudos Brady on the 18 pt improvement. Lololol

The thing is, Helfrich is a good coach. He's just playing by the same rules as everyone else, unlike what Chip did. Oregon had to come down to earth, despite Phil's money and the Nike connections, once that happened.

He is a good offense of Cordinator, but I don't think he's anything close to a good head coach.

is it wrong that I find it hilarious to see duck QB fall down crying? can't stop laughing Ok... you saw it too... like no one here said they saw him tearing up. Hell he had to be pulled up off the turf. That has to be worse than throwing a game ending pick. INTs happen... kid made a great play. But the lingering crying and consoling was way way too much... I thought they say "next MAN UP" Indeed. They had to pick him up off the turf. Cowboy the eff up, young man! Somebody needs to have a talk with that special snowflake.

His record at Colorado was crap. Chip Kelly was running the offense in Methburg, Helfrich just held his clipboard.

The problem is, they want someone who can operate the Chip Kelly system. Parting with Helf means abandoning The Kelly Way, unless they manage to scoop him up when SF fires him. Maybe right now they leave Helf limping the machine along until they can get Kelly back to take the wheel for an absurd amount of money.
