The wife has tried to talk me into playing bull poker at several rodeos. I showed her that clip and she said "you're playing next time." A few minutes later she asked if I would wear a red shirt to the Roy rodeo...

The bull in question’s name? Party Bus. Safe to say he’s participated in his last roundup. But don’t shed any tears for Party Bus. According to his owner Mike Corey; “Party Bus will remain at home and breed with cows, continuing a line of successful rodeo bulls.”

He called me on Sunday to tell me what happened. The bull ran behind his side of the arena. The funny/ ironic part, before he got away and did his damage, they had a tribute to the bull in the arena, he has been very successful/ famous as a rodeo bull, and this was already going to be his last rodeo. I guess he decided to go out with a bang, cherry on top and everything!
On a side note, not trying to make light of the woman's injuries who was thrown/ trampled - I haven't heard what condition she is in

I did think it was funny that they said one lady was injured when she turned to run from the bull and ran into a pole.........sounds like something I would've done.

I grew up on a ranch and most people would be very surprised at how high a bovine can jump.

Interesting musical juxtaposition as Party Bus apparently decides he'd heard enough of Lee Greenwood. And the guy in the pink shirt who races to the woman's aid but declines to drop his full beer (priorities, man).

Maybe she (the woman doing 360’s) should consider a new career as a rodeo clown. Hell, at next year’s rodeo, bring her into the arena, and give her an award as an honorary bull rider/ handler. Take a really scary situation and turn it into a positive. Plus free admission to the rodeo for life 😁

Well, interestingly, when you go to a rodeo like Sisters, there are disclaimers on the ticket, that identify risks, and try and hold harmless the organization/ venue. Doesn’t mean they won’t try. The story went viral, and was even in the NYT, etc., so if you believe any media attention is good attention, unless they do get sued, it may actually be more popular than ever. Plus, in general, rodeo attendees are less likely I believe to be litigious - that is my general impression 🤔
