Boy, we sure tried hard to lose that one - and it was a team effort, all up and down the lineup. Errors, wild pitches, hit batters, guys on the mound throwing batting practice, pitchers throwing the ball away on pickoff plays - about all we were missing was a couple of guys getting picked off.
But it counts as a win!

Can someone update score for those of me watching the game on this thread 12-11 beavs, final on a HBP RBI. Great AB by Macias. A BB RBI, not a HBP.

Oh I got pretty excited and kinda ran off. I thought it clipped him. Nope. Just high and tight. That’s what she said.

It's amazing our bats can often overcome our awful fundamentals. We gave them at least 32 outs today; four errors and several others that could have been called errors because they should have been caught.
McDowell didn't go from 1st to 3rd on a base hit to deepest CF with no outs, and we don't score that inning. Keljo doesn't cover first, runner gets on and scores. Bridger seems incapable of getting the 27th out without unnecessary drama; four HBP with two outs in the ninth in his last two save opportunities.
I'm not sure if we are capable of being anyone other than who we are at this point. You can't clean our messes up just by flipping a switch.

Oh I got pretty excited and kinda ran off. I thought it clipped him. I thought so too and I was only 30 feet away from home plate. Found out later that I was wrong.

But yet, ucla gave us the biggest out when fielding Micah’s 2 hopper. He chose to throw home. He instead goes to 2nd and they turn 2 and we’re off to extras. Bad choice on his part.

Nope... vs Micah the 2B was shifted in the hole and the hard hit ball would have made Schrier wait to get the first out. No way they get the out at first with Micah running. Game over there if attempted. A ball hit that hard the runner at 3rd has no chance to beat a throw. Gave UCLA at least a chance to extend to get to extras.

Micah doesn’t run like he used to. Still think they had a shot at 2 there.

If the ball took Schrier to the bag he'd prob have gone for two?!
