I've been a Beaver all my life, but if I came to OSU expecting to play in the Pac-12 and it turned out that half my time would be against MW / WCC competition with no guarantee that things would get better - especially if I had any semi-realistic pro aspirations - I'd probably move on as well. 😞
The one exception would be if I were a baseball player and Canham was actually able to put together a quality, Regional-worthy independent schedule.

Rueck was not given a chance to put together a quality schedule, and his team this year, with everyone able to come back, reached the basketball equivalent of Omaha - 8 teams left playing. When the baseball team is done for this year, how exactly will Canham be able to guarantee anything? |

I guess this group of players will be remembered as the team( family ) that almost got to the mountain top, but transferred ( quit) rather than stay and fight.
