Don't want to be a downer, but I'm just keeping my fingers crossed we can actually get all of OSU's MWC road games on TV. From what I'm seeing, CBS is contracted to broadcast 2 MWC games a week and Fox is contracted to show the BSU home games for football. That's not a lot of coverage, hopefully other networks will fill in the gaps. My naive hope is that OSU helps elevate the interest of our respective road games and they become the broadcasted ones. We had strong numbers, even against non-Pac opponents last year. If we are a halfway decent team, people are going to watch.

New Mexico was streamed on the MWC channel and Hawaii was picked up by Spectrum, who is the Hawaii TV partner on the islands. THE CBS and Fox contract numbers are the minimum they have to broadcast. They usually do more. Date Opponents Time (M.T.) The Mountain West Champion, Boise, received an invite to the Starco Brands LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk to play UCLA. The Mountain West Co-Champion, UNLV, received an invite to the Guaranteed Rate Bowl to play Kansas. Air Force, as the only bowl-eligible military academy, was invited to the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl to play James Madison. San Jose, which missed out on the Mountain West Championship Game based upon idiotic tiebreakers, were invited to the EasyPost Hawai'i Bowl to play Coastal Carolina. Wyoming got skipped over for both the Isleta New Mexico Bowl (Fresno to play New Mexico State) and the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (Utah State to play Georgia State), falling down to the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl, which was on the CW.

Is there any revenue coming back to OSU from CW? Or just "exposure"?

Is there any revenue coming back to OSU from CW? Or just "exposure"? There is no deal yet. CW will be paying the Pac-2 something. There absolutely will be money. CW will pay OSU some, yet to be determined, amount of money for the right to broadcast OSU home games. The Oregon game is the prize. That is a guaranteed multi-million person ratings hit. That game alone is worth millions. Purdue, WSU, CSU, UNLV and SJSU are decent remaining home games that mostly all have a good home market team. Our SJSU game was actually super heavily watched, but of course it was an opening weekend Sunday game without competition. I read something somewhere that estimated OSU independent football media rights around $15M. I expect the CW deal to approach that. Still a pretty big step down from the $21M football media rights brought in last year.

So with the CW doing the linear broadcast, could someone else pick up a streaming option? For example, CW on linear, and AppleTV for online streaming?

A lot of CW stations are affiliates who do not have to pick up CW programming. I think we need to wait and see just how national this is. There will be gaps

YoutubeTV, Hulu, Direct TV Stream, Dish, etc. It is a huge step up in access from Pac-12 channel.

Seeing as OSU/WSU own the network and all the equipment, etc.

Probably assisted in the destruction of the Conference. But it may still be a life-raft for Oregon State and Wazzu, when all is said and done.

Suddenly we are on a free-to-air channel that literally everybody gets.
