Beavers lead the following categories. National rank in {} if available. - Runs (by a lot) {10th}
- Hits (tied) {29th}
- Triples (tied) {15th}
- HR's {15th} (Georgia already has 74. Holy cow)
- RBI (by a lot)
- BB (by a lot) {20th}
- AVG {9th}
- OBP {5th}
- SLG (by a lot) {5th}
- ERA (by quite a bit) {10th} (I think this shocks people)
- WHIP {24th}
- Earned Runs allowed
- Runs allowed
- HR's allowed (by a lot)
To be top 10 in ERA and offensive runs scored is pretty wild. Don't think even 2017 had that domination.

Thanks! Can you pull a ranking for SO's per game? (just for those on the board that "know something")
I think those ERA and WHIP rankings WILL surprise/shock some folks.
I still think the best course of action for the 2024 season is to sit back and just enjoy the OSU Beaver ride.

Someone might be able to drudge up some numbers but quickly looking at the NCAA archives it looks like WHIP is up this year nationally. Top end is still on track but past the top 10 or so it gets bad quick (compared to previous years). Idk if it's just a down year or it's indicative of the game changing and more offense.

On Georgias homers. They are on pace to beat the 1997 LSU tigers 188 in 66 games. Kinda doubt they can keep up nearly 3 homers a game through SEC pitching but who knows!
Either way they will need to play 10 post season games at their current rate.

Strikeout K/9 rate at the plate for each team Arizona | 4.1 | Utah | 6.7 | Stanford | 7.1 | Washington State | 8.0 | Arizona State | 8.5 | UCLA | 8.7 | o | 9.1 | Washington | 9.1 | USC | 9.6 | California | 9.7 | Oregon State | 9.8 |
Kind of interesting that three of the top four teams in the conference standings are wasting 1/3 of their outs available by not putting the ball into play.

Yep, Charlie Condon is the guy that is outpacing Bazzana and is the current Golden Spikes leader. He had 3HRs this weekend, so it wasn't only against non-SEC pitching.

Admittedly, I have not done any research on this, but I would wager that, in general, those teams with the best power numbers also have more strikeouts. It goes with the territory- if you swing hard, you may make contact less often. The reward, however, outweighs the negative. More strikeouts does not necessarily result in better power stats (see Huskies), but more power usually results in more strikeouts.

Charlie Condon has hit 17 home runs all in the State of Georgia. Georgia played Georgia Southern in South Carolina and three games in Kentucky and went a combined 1/11 with no home runs. And those are the Bulldogs' only trips outside of Georgia. Georgia plays in Knoxville against Tennessee this upcoming weekend. We will see, if Condon can keep up the pace.
