The QB the Beavs recruited, Aidan Willard, is pro-style from what I hear. I'm gonna check him out play a game, maybe.
He sounds solid.

You might want to watch his Hudl tape before locking him into the pro-style only designation. Yes, there were LOTS of completions of 25-35 yards or more, but there were also LOTS of 20/30/up to 60-70 yard runs by this kid.
I look at this offense as something that is going to evolve over a couple years time. Who knows exactly what it's going to look like by 2018/2019 if the coaching staff is still here.

I am sure I was a little under the influence of no sleep and a little alcohol last night when I posted. I'm sure he's good. And his parents are Beaver alums! I just over-reacted when I saw him labeled as a pro-style quarterback. It irked me a little as CGA wants to get rid of the old (style) with the new.......then, i saw this guy who is a commit. I started thinking about the few players that left the program and I said to myself, "....hey, these guys could help the team. why are they leaving?" I am happy that this guy seems decent. Look. The real me came out last night and I'm ashamed. I just have a bad feeling and/or I'm starting to let go and not care on Saturdays. I have to give CGA time. Time to mold his team and recruit good players. But, yes. I have a bad feeling that we'll waste 5 years, here, with CGA at the helm. I wanted this. So, I have to suck it up and wait a few more years. |
