Yeah never really got the 2.0 thing. BBs are improved, but Ks still very high, and Pac12 average still far far below NC (for now), same as last season. Hitting 217 in March. I want him to go up and not worry about walking. Swing aggressively ...but Turley wants to go up and show the scouts that he has the patience and the eye to avoid swinging at the junk pitches. We know he has the skills. We just have to have patience as he tries to become a better hitter. His success will be our success.

Anyone concerned about Turley? Almost seems passive at this point. 1-15 in Pac 12 play Wondering if he's a warm-weather hitter. Hit great in Arizona last year, then slumped until May, when it finally warmed up. Did great at Pac-12 tourney and LSU.

Turley is obvious going through some kind of control training. He did take one old style viscous cut on an inside pitch and missed it. If he gets going look out. Hope he is back to losing Balls in the next month.

Anyone concerned about Turley? Almost seems passive at this point. 1-15 in Pac 12 play Baseball is 90% mental and other half is physical. He's taken on a big endeavor and changed his entire approach. Probably still in the "over thinking" stage right now. It can literally take one at bat for everything to come together and the payoff for making the change to take hold. Could be this weekend or next month, Whenever it is, it will be here sooner the more AB's he has between now and then. .

He hit the grand slam off a curve which would normally be a real challenge for him (last year). Finished the day 2-4 4 RBI 2 BB

A viscous cut is when you have about 500 pancakes and you use your bat to splatter the cakes from a vat of maple syrup

Turley start of season through first game of UW series: .273 Turley second game of UW series to present: .380 Turley this weekend: .380 It's sure looking like the "could be this weekend" comment was the correct one and something clicked game two of the UW series for Turley. Love it..

Love it.. Hes seeing breaking balls much better for sure. It's been a lot of AB's ago, but I seem to recall him doing a much better job of that early on, but it was coming at the expense of his aggressiveness on the fastball at times. Now it seems he's full aggro on FB and can lay off the junk. That should scare the ship out of an opposing pitcher.
