Will Scott Barnes throw his hat in the ring for the Washington AD job? Troy Dannen is leaving apparently for the Nebraska job... Or maybe poach The WSU AD Chun?

UW tried both before... not sure the pecking order if Dannen was the first choice, but Barnes and Chun wanted no part of that job earlier. But...

Barnes just bought a new house. Might not be enough to keep him here if he really wants to go, but it's a factor. And we keep winning off the field and the conference possibilities for 2026 are growing.

Do people automatically become liars when they become Huskies?

Do people automatically become liars when they become Huskies? Barnes is gearing up to retire in the next handful of years. Other than money, of course, what does UW offer that OSU doesn't? beside a tough location in the heart of Seattle that is impossible to park at and homes that cost 10x what a Corvallis house costs... I don't know that "being in a big-boy league" carries the same weight as it might carry for a person in a different stage of their career. and of course, he literally turned them down barely 6 months ago.

So, you can't get anything under $15.5 million in Seattle? That's 10 times what Scott just paid for his house here. Average house price in Corvallis is just under $600K. Not exactly cheap here anymore.

Unrelated fun fact, while I was googling those numbers, I saw an ad for a houseboat in Seattle, 1 bed room, 1 bath, 142 square feet for $115,000, literally being sold as a single family home. Price does not include monthly $944 in total fees for moorage and live-in slip fees! Jesus...

Do people automatically become liars when they become Huskies? Well... since he's a Husky becoming a Husker I think they define lying as what other do. So, his previous statement was a simple misinterpretation of what we consider "trust".

“Presidents take a chance when they hire athletic directors,” “I told President Cauce, ‘Trust me, I will not let you down.’” - Troy Dannen Ha ha ha ha ha…. And Seattle is a pressure cooker. Not sure a man with a testy ticker would want to be in that environment.

I lived in Montana at the time and actually got to see it before they took down to California for the trial. The trucker that drove it down there was a customer of mine. But then, Ted pled guilty, so they sent the cabin to DC where it is displayed at FBI headquarters. It was 10 x 14, so if by smaller, you mean 2 SF, then that’s why I said “about the size”
