I know it’s probably hard to get teams to come to Corvallis this time of year, but this series is a waste of our time. Better off to stay down south and play someone who helps the rpi

It's not at all. Hainline getting confidence and on track alone would be worth it. Every team plays lower division opponents.

I wouldn’t worry too much about RPI. RPI matters a lot more if you are a bubble team or a team on the edge of hosting. We are top ten in the country and everybody knows it. We will have to play ourselves out of that, and if that happens we would only have ourselves to blame, not the RPI. Ultimately, if you are preseason top ten, you just need to win the games and series we are supposed to win and we won’t drop out of that position. All the top teams play some patsies in non league play. Games and series like that are good to get a lot of different guys innings/playing time.

Lawson should have worn long sleeves like the rest of the team, because Jack Frost wasn’t impressed.
So glad the Beavs have the pitching depth and bats to turn around after that top of the first, and end the game early so we could get to some place warm.

My fingers have finally thawed. What did that first inning take, about an hour? Felt like years. Walks are tough on the audience sitting in the cold rain.
We had a couple beautiful bunts! Micah nearly beat that one out! The pickoff that got the SDSU player at first was beautiful. He was stunned.
With the rundown, did it seem like Bazz held on to the ball forever, or was that just my view? Felt like a closer play than it should’ve been.
Any win is a good win! Hey Wilky, we now have two mercy wins. What’s the most a Beaver team has had in a season?

There just isn't covenant nomenclature like G5 and P5 in baseball. Yeah... thinking I saw they've been D1 since like 2008 or 2009? And (2) total NCAA appearances, albeit one was in Goss, 2014 as #4 seed where they lost to us and UNLV by 2-1 scores. Even Western Carolina has been to (12) tourneys... and I'm pretty sure no one thought 20-7, 23-5, 8-4 was any real help. Late season or early, opponents in the 240+ range are what they are. And, no one was saying no else does it... just that it doesn't show/mean much.

There just isn't covenant nomenclature like G5 and P5 in baseball. Just pretend its basketball and call them mid- or low-majors. Either way we'd do well not to view other programs like the old Six Pac viewed us when we were in the Northern Division. CSUN is 7-2 now and won 34 games and placed third in the Big West last year, ahead of Irvine, USBS and Long Beach. Eddie Cornejo is one heck of a coach and he has a very solid staff.

And, no one was saying no else does it... just that it doesn't show/mean much. North Dakota State transitioned from D2 to D1 in 2005. North Dakota State joined the Summit Conference (which was formerly known as the Mid-Continent Conference) in 2008. Oral Roberts won 15 consecutive Mid-Continent/Summit Conference Championships from 1998-2012. Oral Roberts' biggest success in that era was in 2006, sweeping through the the Stillwater Regional, beating Arkansas 4-3 in 11, Oklahoma State 5-4, and Oklahoma State a second time 9-2. #1 Clemson ended Oral Roberts' run, winning 11-8 and 6-5 in the Clemson Super Regional. Oral Roberts then left the Summit Conference after the 2012 season to join the Southland Conference. South Dakota State won the 2013 Summit Conference Championship and played in the Eugene Regional, losing 3-2 to Oregon and 4-3 to San Francisco in extra innings. North Dakota State finished dead last in the Summit Conference but won the 2014 Summit Conference Championship and played in the Corvallis Regional, losing 2-1 to both Oregon State and UNLV. Oral Roberts returned to the Summit Conference in 2015 and won the next four Summit Conference Championships. Oral Roberts was the 4-seed in the Fayetteville Regional, losing to Arkansas 10-2 and Dallas Baptist 18-9. Omaha beat Oral Roberts 3-2 in the Summit Conference Championship Game in 2019. North Dakota State won the Summit Conference Championship Game 11-6 over Oral Roberts in 2021. North Dakota State played in the Stanford Regional, losing to Stanford 9-1, eliminating Nevada 6-1, and losing to Irvine 18-3. North Dakota State won the 2022 Summit League Regular Season Championship but lost twice to Omaha, 10-2 and 5-3, to be eliminated. Oral Roberts, which finished a game back of North Dakota State won the Summit League Championship. Oral Roberts won the 2023 Summit League Championship. Oral Roberts swept through the Stillwater Regional beating each team: 6-4 win over Oklahoma State, 15-12 win over Washington, and 6-5 win over Dallas Baptist. Oral Roberts then coughed up an 8-0 lead against Oregon but still managed to win the next two 8-7 and 11-6 to win the Eugene Super Regional. Oral Roberts beat TCU 6-5 in the College World Series but lost to Florida 5-4 and TCU in the rematch 6-1.
