Mostly I'm not a fan of folks ragging SR about his coaching from the sidelines. But at the end of the first half TVO wasn't getting what SR wanted run and instead of giving it up and telling her to just go do something SR kept badgering her. She ended up confused and the team got nothing out of the last two possessions.

I’m glad the big crowd at least got an exciting game. Hope TVO is ok. She was kind of limping off the court. She went down hard in the first half (iirc) and it took her a bit to shake it off. Even then she was not quite the same. I think Rueck realized what he was doing and had TVO sit next to Aleah. Definitely saw the two of them talking to each other.

Two consecutive first quarter flops, followed by three quarters of evenly matched ball. Additional examples ample since the season began.
The starting lineup needs fire...and change.
Thanks Scotty and earlier beaverwbb fan for finally admitting this---I've been advocating for Timea and Dom to be in the starting lineup since early season. We need their offensive firepower and overall intensity and talent to go along with Talia and Rae and Dono to form one of the most formidable starting lineups in the country that can put a hurt on most teams early in the game and make the other team be the ones having to struggle back in these games instead of us. And furthermore once we get these teams down early I don't think there will be any coming back for them with our stellar defense. AJ and Kelsey are decent players and solid defenders and would be good 6th-7th-8th man types but Timea and Dom are better and should be starting. Thank goodness at least Timea was in the starting lineup tonight or we would have been in an even deeper hole early on! And also I've noticed Talia is much better when she has offensive help on the floor with her especially with Timea and Dom.

Does anyone know how to get a link to OSU WBB post game press conference? You're best source is probably here: www.youtube.com/@osubeaversathletics/videosOtherwise you'd have to find them via another media outlet like O-live, local news, P12 Network, etc. I don't think there's a guarantee that every post-game presser will be available.

Honestly, the fact that our girls almost pulled that game out in the end is a testament to their sheer will, and determination. Could've easily been a blowout. Hopefully Beers is back soon!

She has a strong start to the year against the weakner non-conference teams and seems to disappear a bit during Pac-12 play. I don’t dislike her game, but I don’t feel like she consistently brings what is needed as she hasn’t proven to be a consistent offensive threat and has been pretty inefficient at OSU.

beaverwbb fan - -I pretty much agree with your comments about AJ, especially as they pertain to the offensive side of her game...
However, on defense, on running the offence, on serving as a team leader, and as a buy-into-the-program player, I think her contributions to the team are quite good. Yet, it seems pretty clear that her point production, her offence in general, simply has not matured as much as the rest of her game. This is frustrating to a lot of Beaver fans (and I'm sure to her as well) because she definitely has the athletic tools to deliver at a higher level. The question facing Rueck and Goodman is: will she make the hoped for leap? Or is it now time to invest in a younger talent? GO BEAVS!!

On a different topic, how frustrating/irritating is it too many of you the comment that Coach Rueck keeps making when asked about Raegan Beers injury situation.
His brilliant response is always "we are hoping she will be back soon". That may be next week, next year, or never.
Why not just say "no comment" unless you have some concrete factual information to share.

Look at it this way. Would you like your boss to tell people your medical information?

Look at it this way. Would you like your boss to tell people your medical information? It's frustrating for the fans, but it's also frustrating for the opposing coaches. Preparing a game-plan vs. a lineup that includes Beers is vastly different than scheming against a non-Beers offense and defense. It's stupid for a coach to allow an opposing coach information that makes game-planning easier. If a player is obviously going to be out for a while, then that's pretty easy for opposing coaches to see through/get info about. But if Raegan really could become available, that presents an ongoing advantage to keep in play.

Concussions don’t have a concrete timetable so it’s a little bizarre that people have an issue with Rueck’s comments. She’s day-to-day but is still getting headaches when running. Not sure what’s so difficult to understand about that.

I've heard more than one coach say they've learned their lesson and just stay out of the training room. There is nothing they can do to help and the trainers will let them know when they have any new information.
