Early season baseball rankings are ridiculous lol.
Arkansas and Vandy both lose at home to lower conference teams and no real effect.
Stanford is 1-2 against a lower conference opponent and stays ranked. Huh

D1's rankings stayed about the same. We are still #7. Northeastern fell out, and Florida moved down a few spots. A few other teams shuffled around, but not much.

Sure but those games are all RPI anchors that will kill them later in the year. Losing at home to a Q2-Q4 is an oof. Stanford may not be hurt too bad since Fullerton could very well be a post season team and win their conference.

Hogs AA ace chased after one frame; I assume (based on the message board rules of baseball) that Arkansas is officially done?

Hogs AA ace chased after one frame; I assume (based on the message board rules of baseball) that Arkansas is officially done? Def not. Arkansas is probably the best program out there with the worst luck on the planet. They should be top quarter of the SEC so they will probably host even with RPI issues.

I hope that both he and Arkansas are done. Smith is supposed to be the second-best pitcher in the country, behind Wake's Josh Hartle. I hope Oregon State is ready for the main course after enjoying appetizers this weekend.........

Bench Guerra 3/15 from the plate. Two errors in three games (Guerra DH'd against Bakersfield) at first.

Bench Guerra 3/15 from the plate. Two errors in three games (Guerra DH'd against Bakersfield) at first. He has walked 3 or 4 times right? His OBP isn't horrendous considering he's starting slow with the bat. His hit today was crucial.

Ya I’m not worried at all about Guerra at the plate. The guy has hit at a high level his whole life. This weekend means nothing in the long run for him. I mean it was four games, and one of them was a multi hit game. I can remember when Derek Jeter went 0 for 33 at one point in a season, and still hit over .300 that year. Great hitters all slump from time to time, and great hitters eventually recover.

Why would anyone ever, ever, rank Arkansas one ahead of OSU?
