Re-tuned in just because. That was stupid. Huskies repetitive offensive rebounds, no blocking out by the Beavers, lose the ball before getting into a set, give up a lay-in, add a half-assed weak foul to make it 3, turn it over again, my God why can’t they play any type of fundamental basketball??? Down by 20 again. Bad

Tinkles record post coach's kids: Overall 25-62 Conference 9-43 I remember him saying when the last of the coaches' kids left. that he thought it would be easier to recruit.

The frustrating thing is is that they can play focused and clean enough to beat a very talented Arizona team but then lay an egg and can't beat less talented teams, home or away. Even when they come out and build a lead they just fade and end up getting beat. So hard to be a fan honestly.

It's actually closer than I thought. What happened? UW playing their waterboys?

It served as a wakeup call as they are undefeated since. Fortunately for OSU they don't play UA again as they would probably crush us in a rematch. I would not be surprised if Pope is gone after this season. Someone is going to offer him a nice NIL package and he can play on a good team that plays in the NCAAs.

A combination of inferior talent and coaching? I think a couple of these kids could be good. At times they seemed unprepared. I don’t think effort is a problem. At least I don’t. The really good coaches have a way of getting kids to reach down a little deeper. Push them, but not a Bobby Knight PUSH. I dunno.

No coaches' kids played on his first team and we went 17-14, 8-10. I also remember more than one poster here saying the only reason Tres and the Thompsons played so much was because they were coaches' kids. Turns out they were darn good players.

Some one correct me... oh wait, forgot where I was! I know the correct info will appear... Isn't it 2 more AFTER this season?? And 5.7 mil?? Please😒 Sorry, MBB drove me to a Belizean/Caye Caulker tap room with amazing food and outdoor deck with incredible music. So only checking in... not rubbing it in! You diving on this trip? That's one of the places I want to go. I'm assuming you are on a trip. Otherwise, I want to find out where that taproom is. Trip... diving and snorkeling... all day, 9:30-4pm on a 45' catamaran... 22 people max, never had more than 14... $90 per USD unless you book multiple then they negotiate😉, food, water, drinks, cabin for shade, bathroom, shower, all gear. Here and Roatan are February to August stops. Roatan is better June-August... Caye Caulker Feb/March and 2:1 BZD:USD conversion rate, both readily accepted, super friendly, English is spoken everywhere. FWIW... Caye Caulker is split north and south by a hurricane in '61 (Hattie?), water taxis readily available (independent or resort owned), it's a bike and golf cart only island. North has a couple three resorts and 4 restaurants. South is a village that has gone "downhill" in terms of some gentrification. Much younger overall crowd now, some of the famous main stay bars (Lazy Lizard right on the Split for one) now play piped in Kenney Chesney etc vs Reggae, Calypso with live performers. But, you can still stroll through town and find them Wed-Sun.

Not sure it was why they played, but why they were here. And, hardly any other 4* types. They were good... at OSU. BUT I've always wondered... - how much would they have played on a higher level team? - would they have benefited, developed more elsewhere? Unfortunately for WT, he and the Thompsons ran out of hoopers.

Tinkles contract gave him another year because of the elite 8 appearance but that wasn't good enough so Barnes gave him another 3 years. Otherwise this nightmare would be over. Thanks Scott.

But, you can still stroll through and find them Wed-Sun. I've not dove since 2012, prior to that I was a working scuba/instructor/DM/boat captain for 14 years. Legitimately 2k+ dives and a ton of times captaining, should have logged my dives, probably a lot more. Planning on diving for several days on a trip this fall. Actually working out for it. Seen too many 60+ year olds that haven't dove in years struggle. My cardio is probably better than when I was teaching and guiding, definitely can't throw tanks like I used to for now. This year we're headed to our old stomping grounds in Kona. After that I'm hoping to get out at least a trip a year elsewhere. Too many places I haven't seen. 90 is a great price compared to Kona, even a decade ago. Have a blast!

Too many places I haven't seen. 90 is a great price compared to Kona, even a decade ago. Have a blast! Yep... Kona/Waikoloa was our go to spot until "our" hotel resort was bought out and is some Auberge (?) $400+/nt place. When the bowl of oatmeal went to $19 and going to the King & Queen Market areas cost you $100+ for a couple small bags... we stopped going as much. We mostly snorkel now... OK, pretty much only snorkel now. My partner in crime enjoys it more. Plus unlike you I was always a novice and never captained. Or became one of those things I did, but didn't love. I guess we all have those, "been there, done that" activities that just don't stick as regulars, but you may revisit. We're having a blast. Our trips are one of two types: "chilax" in a laid back more locals warm beach area, eat, drink, walk/bike a ton to explore (golf cart if imbibing too much), snorkel; or "touristy" with day to day activities visiting sites... roadies or in places like Ireland by train, bus, tours. Each had their place, but the older I get the more "chilax" wins out. May have to do with not having to deal with so many people!? Kona is still a fav when our older kids van come with. I'm sure you'll have a blast getting back into the diving scene. Game thread duly hijacked. No chute or ransom required!

Kinda related--We just returned from a 2 week trip to Puerto Vallarta. Our two sons were able to join us for a week, and we had a great time, so it was worth it. We did a couple of things we had not done there before, which were a lot of fun.
However---PV, while always fun, has become more expensive (like everywhere else...). The exchange rate deteriorated from ~20:1 to ~15:1 since our last trip, which was not fun to deal with. And, of course, since tourism is a huge deal there, a lot of the people you interact with is looking to make a buck from you, somehow.
All part of the fun!
