We suck, I'm checking out for the year. Hope we finish strong, but I won't be watching.

Wells then Yackamofski. Guys, thanks to OSU you looked like Reggie Miller and Larry Bird out there tonight. And, at home, even with all the 3's (most wide open) WSU shoots 40%, less FTs, turns are basically equal... and OSU misses 7 of 18 from the line in a 6 pt loss. Just another way to lose I guess. Couple that with Wells only scoring 6 the 2nd half, WSU's other players step up and score 31. Random stuff watching... - how does KC go 3/9 on those shots? - how does Tyler get 0 fouls 0 Off reb playing 32 min? - how is a 7 ft+ guy get schooled repeatedly in only 11 min? Any bets on opponents D strategy from here on out? Oh well...

Wells then Yackamofski. Guys, thanks to OSU you looked like Reggie Miller and Larry Bird out there tonight. Fun fact, since 2023 turned into 2024, only one team has held Wazzu to fewer than 72 points, and that was Oregon State. And the Beavs did it twice. Oregon State worked their butts off to keep Wazzu in check and did. Just not enough offense in either game. Sucks. another moral victory!

Unfortunately, the refs ate up the flops. Many the coaches from several soccer MNTs were taking notes. Are you saying it's the refs fault yet again? Dude, what game are you watching? They Wazzu guy dragged Chol down, and they called the foul on Chol. Almost the exact same thing happened to one of the bigs against UCLA. Am I seeing things wrong, or are you?

And the Beavs did it twice. #1 Arizona gave up 73 in a 73-70 Wazzu win. #2 Oregon gave up 84. #4 Colorado gave up 78. #6 Cal gave up 75. #7 Stanford gave up 89. #8 Utah gave up 79. #10 Washington gave up 90. Oregon State worked their butts off to keep Wazzu in check and did. Just not enough offense in either game. Sucks. another moral victory! Wazzu has the third-most efficient offense in the Pac-12. Only Arizona and Colorado (when healthy) have put up better numbers. Teams with better records did not do what Oregon State did to Wazzu defensively. Just not enough offense. You blamed the defense. I am just saying that the defense looked really good. Badmouth the offense. It just was not there tonight. Strategy was great. Offensive execution was too much miss, not enough hit.

Had dinner with my wine group tonight, so not able to watch. Why did Rochelin start? I believe he has more fouls than points on the season. Not going to win games with him in starting lineup. Score was close at least, which is good from the perspective of not losing the team.

Oregon State was playing small to try and hold Wazzu's offense in check.

Does it only include giving up several open 3's? Going small is having immobile bigs attempt to guard smaller, more athletic guys like Jones? Having no offensive scheme adjustments to free up key players as Michael, Tyler, and Pope get 26 total attempts?? Or just holding WSU under the magic 72 point mark win or lose? It's so confusing what the strategies and goals are with this team?

Is it wazoo's huge NIL program? Is it the large metropolitan area in which wazoo is located? Is it the highly ranked talent that the wazoo roster includes? Is it the decades of winning wazoo basketball? The answer to all of those is no. The reason wazoo is in second place and we are languishing in last place is one reason and one reason alone. Coaching. Wazoo made the right hire.

Once Kerry left OSU the staffing disintegrated. The type of staff WT has attracted and keep is pretty sad. If you read comparable bios of each team as OSU faces them the bios are starkly different. Shaw, Hunter, Harden are all vastly experienced coaches with a long list of work with programs' successes. Any would be more qualified as OSU's top assistant. WSU has all three on staff.
