Plain and simple: we suck.
One good offensive player (Pope) who teams are focused on. So he gets shut down or held in check and we don’t have anyone else that is a consistent threat.
On defense we give up too many easy buckets…in transition AND in the half court. And then when one guy is hot, we just let him continue to get open looks.
Frustrating. Depressing.

WSU has won 6 of their last 7 games. We are very in this one despite their hot 3 point shooting. |

Fun fact, since 2023 turned into 2024, only one team has held Wazzu to fewer than 72 points, and that was Oregon State. And the Beavs did it twice. #1 Arizona gave up 73 in a 73-70 Wazzu win. #2 Oregon gave up 84. #4 Colorado gave up 78. #6 Cal gave up 75. #7 Stanford gave up 89. #8 Utah gave up 79. #10 Washington gave up 90. Oregon State worked their butts off to keep Wazzu in check and did. Just not enough offense in either game. Sucks. |
