Rumor is it's still seen in the sky during full moons. Not to geek out this claim or anything (ok maybe a little bit but OSU is a fine engineering school) ... In order to orbit a baseball from earth, the initial velocity would need to be at least around 17,500 mph. This assumes no atmosphere lol. Ok,Im done. Engineer here. My home made velocitometer had it at 72,000 mph exit velocity when I pointed it at a YouTube clip. It also keeps saying there's velociraptors in my back yard so might not be calibrated right.

I believe that the number is around 17,099, but that assumes that the ball is hit to the East. Once again, no atmosphere.

I'd rather see us hit 300, with a 375 ob%. Home runs are nice but a high team batting average is better..

Feels like a team that is going to terrorize opposing defenses on the bases. Lots of speed. Lots of doubles in the gap, and base runners scoring from 1st.
