Great game and a big win. Getting split at home is huge. Losing two at home would have hurt. Nice job guys. First true roadies next week. A split would be huge.

James, no matter your opinion of his Dad, is SC's best PG. He simply has a court sense and intelligence. He plays under control at different speeds, takes great shots, great vision, and doesn't turn it over.
I'm guessing his 15-17+ mpg will be in the mid 20's soon and he'll be more and more the PG.
As for the game... it's was very apparent one team has loads of talent without much direction. Another with talent able to play within roles, better prepped, and didn't let up.

Andy Enfield, the beloved coach of FGCU dunk city like what 13-14 years ago now??? Pretty sure his wife is smoking hot as well
Anyway…….yeah let’s just do more of that 60% from the field, 47% from 3 and shoot 30+ free throws as a dang good free throw shooting team.
Performances like that take the coaching out of it and that’s really what the beavers need to do. 😂😂😂

It helps when the Beavs start well, get a nice lead, and answer the challenges when they come, but thanks to all on here for a nice, supportive, positive thread from start to finish.

Saw on Twitter that this was largest margin of victory over USC since 2012. Also the most points Beavs have scored against USC in a non-OT game since 1992. Impressive. Hopefully they can take some of that magic with them on the road.

Nice of you to take a shot at him even in a dominant win.

They changed that rule this year. Players can wear any number like the NBA now. UCLA had a #8 and a #9.

Hoping it is just a combination of still rounding into shape and not having spent as much time with the others in the summer, but he doesn’t look completely comfortable out there. He can really be an X factor for the Beavs if he can just turn it up even one more notch. Has been playing pretty well overall though, so can’t complain too much.

MR seems to be "stuck" in that he has a face up game and can hit a "3", but really not strong enough to be a force on the boards, no real post game, and not quick handles to get all the way to the rim. He often get stuck mid key looking for help. It could be a bit of "fear factor" after surgery. Everyone has a bit of trepidation after being injured and of course game "wind" takes time. However, he is capable of hitting big shots if teams chose to leave him to double. I don't think he'll ever become a slasher off the dribble until he is fully comfortable, I could see him developing into a Calloo type next season. TB has been the key to a split IMHO. The guards are not going to continue to shoot it at this level, especially away from home. Tyler provides a complete compliment... post up, midrange on the move, and face up "3". My only concern with him going forward is foul trouble. He plays on a LOT of emotion and tends to reach and try for every board. Versus SC he could have easily had (3) early fouls, but this crew let kids play a bit more than I've seen under the hoop. A Washington split on the first true roadies would be a large step toward 8+ wins.

Rataj had the best plus/minus of any Beaver last night. While those plus minus numbers can at times be deceiving……last night the team played its best while he was in the floor……moreso than any other player. The ball doesn’t stick in his hand like it does with some other guys.

I was just pointing out that when you hit shots at an incredible clip it takes coaching out of the equation. This was not a dis on the coaching staff at all and I’m very sorry that it was translated as one
