I'll stick with the old take on the "Make 7 up Yours" campaign.
<front> HEY OREGON
<back> UP YOURS!
(I'd add a photo if I knew how)

Even during rivalry week? Is there never a time that a Beaver fan taking a dig at the ducks is OK? The good news, I guess, is that after Friday I can finally join those who have claimed to not care about the ducks all along. I, of course, cared about them because they stood in our way in the conference. I, of course, hated them because almost anything good for them was bad for us and they were not above doing just about anything to take advantage. I, of course, reveled in any digs at them, because they were our main rival and that's what sports rivalries are supposed to be about. Never made sense to me to claim that we shouldn't care about them, hate them, belittle them, or rag on them. Until now. After Friday, I never need to watch or think about or watch the ducks again. That's good. Very good.

Why would I go out of my way to watch Big-10 and Big-12 schools? I don't watch any of them now. Or, maybe it went over my head. Are the departing 10 "new future MWC member schools"?

I have found my interest in college football, other than the Beavs, to have waned tremendously. I used to watch a lot of PAC 12 football, and keep an eye on games between ranked schools elsewhere. This year, I pretty much watch only OSU or WSU games, and will watch some of a traitor playing outside the conference in hopes they are beaten. I really don't give a rat's ass about the Michigan-Ohio State game, as I no longer care about the Big Ten.
There are 6 more PAC 12 games (5 this weekend and the championship), and then it's gone forever. I hate that tremendously, but I'll get over it. Starting next year, if the MWC is our future, I'll watch, and thoroughly enjoy, the Beaver games. But I'll also start to watch some MWC games, getting to know our future opponents and starting to develop an interest in some of those schools. And I'm going to enjoy that too.
You have to play the hand you're dealt. College sports is still going to be fun in a world without the Ducks, Huskies, and Trojans.
If we all had an affiliation with South Dakota State, we'd pull like hell for them every week, regardless of whatever level they played at, and discuss all this stuff on the South Dakota State board. Come next August 1, we're all still going to be doing that for Oregon State, wherever we wind up.

I thought you were okay with still watching the other 8 or 9 former pac. I won't even watch fucla or Cal at this point as an example. None of the others other than WSU. Sorry my bad.
However, Some people do watch other conferences like the Ohio St. Michigan matchup.

That's good. Very good. I've got better things to do with my time than add to their viewership numbers. Mike, I think you will appreciate this. My teenage son, who's been going to Beaver tailgates and games since he was old enough to walk, texted the family chat a copy & paste of a twitter post from a duck fan yesterday that said the following: "As a duck fan I hate the direction College football is going. Some day when the College game has become fully commercialized (NFL lite) we will look fondly back on these days. Let's enjoy it while it lasts" My son's response was, I hadn't thought about that before, but NFL Lite is where it's going. He added, my kids will not get to experience the real college football I experienced with you. Man that almost brought a tear to my eye. The only problem I have with the duck fans post is, it was recent and not from 20 years ago when it would have been very accurate. The ducks have played no small role in accelerating the commercialization and thus destroying what many of us love about this game compared to the pro game. The game to us is a means to gather with longtime friends we don't see often beyond football season. To tell stories, relive memories both good and bad, eat, drink, and have a party before every game filled with optimism the Beavers will pull one out and ready to regroup like we've done for decades if they don't. We had an amazing pregame on Saturday filled with a lot of smiles and laughter with friends and family. I appreciate my school so much for still supporting our ability to tailgate all around the stadium on game days, it goes hand in hand with the game itself in my view.
