It doesn't make sense for UW and UO to maintain these rivalry games when they already have a 9 game B1G schedule.
Why not? Neither us nor the Cougs will be P5 opponents.
UW and WSU are going to keep playing. Why shouldn't we and the ducks?
Personally I want to see both rivalries continued, and I'd also like to think both Pac-2 programs will remain "power 5" caliber. Playing a 10th game of that nature which guarantees a non home game every other year seems like a bad plan. They're going to have seasons with 10 power 5 teams(again including us in that) with 6 of them being road games. That's a recipe for the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl.
Looking at Oregon's future schedule, they wrap up the home and home with TT next year in Eugene, and then start home and homes with Oklahoma St and then Baylor, so now we're actually talking ELEVEN "power 5 caliber" games a year? That's insane. Most SEC teams play 8.
Presumably those Big-12 matchups for Oregon would be the ones replaced with us. But still.
