Graves told reporters on Wednesday afternoon that he and Washington State coach Kami Etheridge have an agreement in place that will see the Cougars play the Ducks at Matthew Knight Arena during the 2024-25 season.
"We haven't even talked about it. I know [OSU coach Scott Rueck] wants to do it, and we'd like it to continue as well."

I think I will leave it up to SR to decide if it is in his teams best interest to keep up the rivalry.

Basketball coaches don't decide OOC schedules. Athletic Directors do. Just sayin' You are right. And with Rueck on thin ice Barnes likely has him on a short leash anyways. Probably has no real say on making the schedule at this point. |

Cougs play the Ducks in Eugene? What about the Ducks playing the Cougs in Pullman? If it's just a one way deal, I'd categorically tell Mr. Graves to stick it where the sun don't shine.
At this point, I wouldn't do it even if it were 2 games, home and home, in the same season. It would feel too much like this was being done as benevolent act to a lesser entity by gracious, paternal Oregon. Screw 'em.

Probably has no real say on making the schedule at this point. How is Rueck on thin ice? Yes they need to perform better, but do you really think Barnes has any notion of looking elsewhere? Don't think so, Rueck isn't going anywhere anytime soon, nor should he, in my ever so humble opinion. |
