Tucker being fired with cause: www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/michigan-state-will-fire-mel-tucker-university-intends-to-terminate-football-coachs-contract-for-cause/Which means there must be some real meat to the allegations because this is about to move from the court of public opinions (where no evidence is needed, in fact evidence is a bummer, harder to put in a simple headline). Into an actual court room. Tucker had a FULLY GARUNTEED 95 million dollar contract, you know he is going to sue and sue hard, even if he knows he is fully guilty of heinous acts. There must be some pretty strong evidence. It didn't even take MSU long to do an investigation which makes me think there was already one going on and this may just be the tip of the iceberg. |

Actually the MSU investigation was kept quiet... began back in June(?) and was intentionally leaked by one of the Trustees. At which time Tracy decided she wanted the entire story out including access to the investigational docs. I believe she contacted CNN so the story was complete and accurate. This was being kept hush hush until the leak, which again looks horrific for MSU. It was no secret that a certain faction of the MSU board wanted Tucker removed and the leak was impetus for the court of public opinion to accelerate that and help remove the stench from any MSU wrong doing. Tucker is an idiot. No doubt and deserves exactly what he gets. Except if it is ANY of his future salary. But, there are many aspects of the situation that are weird. First, the initial harping on Tucker being married. Like that really has any merit to what he did. Married, had a affair... jeez I wonder how many MSU board members, administrators want to hang their hat including that as cause?! Especially, if reports are accurate that Tucker and his wife were separated/estranged. Again... no relevance to me. Second, the entire timing and continued phone conversations that seem to have moved well beyond being just a professional vendor. And, whether a complaint was forth coming if Mel had not cancelled Tracy's team visit? Anyway, Tucker is the moron and talk about reading the room incorrectly! And, I wonder if this even goes to court as I'd suspect Mel knows about some dirty laundry at MSU since he's been there. The whole story is all too familiar and now I'm just waiting for the next batch of similar complaints. When there is one, typically in this day and age more are to come. |

IF, she was divorcing him she now gets 50% of nothing in terms of future earnings! Maybe he's an Oregon State fan and thinks that, if you hurt your divorced wife, it is great, regardless of whether it hurts you much worse? Dude would be a great addition to this Board. |

Brenda Tracy stayed on a phone sex call for 36 minutes and never hung up? 6 weeks after the phone call, she texted Mel wishing him Happy Father's Day. Then she waited months to report it as harassment? How is that credible? Mel and Brenda were in a relationship and Mel broke it off. Brenda turned on him. Mel and Brenda spoke on the phone 27 times, each call lasted on avg over 30 mins, often late at night. Investigators weren't able to get the texts, but there were probably hundreds. Pretty obvious what was going on. How does Brenda have an affair with Mel, then make up lies, destroy him and walk away the victim? In today's world, accusations turn into convictions. What happened to innocent until prove guilty?
