Great quote. Whittingham said something to the effect when USCUCLA bolted, like when was the last conference championship either one of them actually won? Not sure but it's going to be a long time before they see a Big 10 crown, like probably never.

Wasn't it more or less a steal from O-lives Bill Oram article on Colrados lousy football team?
.......And it’s easy to pile on the Buffs — Hey, what do you have against a free square on the football bingo card? — but that distracts from the point of the day......

Were they a better program or did the B12 and the schedule played back in those days have a lot to do with it? and extra downs? The stat is the stat it's not biased. How you interpret what you thought I was suggesting.by it, can/could be biased. Make of it what you will, CU's experience with the P12 is predominantly a losing one compared to their history in the B12. I thought they were a great addition geographically, also love their venue, mascot, colors and history, but I don't blame them for wanting a "new beginning" considering they so far have not been able to compete in the P12 and certainly have been owned by the manufactured rival Utah. There is some history with Utah prior to joining and they are border states so I guess UU is no less qualified a rival than Nebraska except UU probbaly doesn't feel that way about CU like Nebraska does.

They were a better program. Final Verdict? NO question they won more games in B12, which indicates better teams, coaching, and scheduling, but the "program" currently has way more to offer in way of facilities, gear, swag, funding, etc.. . So from that standpoint the better program label is questionable. Bottom line is, being located near the center of the country on both directional axes gives them a lot of workable options. location location location

So, Nebraska should be national champs every year?
