Some key takeaways:
- "Forrester and Kane are likely headed for selection in the major league draft July 9-11 and can be expected to sign"
- "Oregon State loses senior pitchers Trent Sellers and Ben Ferrer and will likely see five draft-eligible underclassmen depart — Forrester, Kane, outfielders Kasper and Micah McDowell and closer Ryan Brown."
- "Shortstop Kyle Dernedde has entered the transfer portal.....OSU coaches couldn’t guarantee the Tualatin High grad a starting spot next season. They are looking for a more consistent hitter."
- "I asked which of the young position players he expected to emerge next season. 'Tyce Peterson, Dallas Macias, Easton Tait, Jacob Krieg,' Gipson said."
- "Neither Kmatz (elbow) or Hunter will require surgery. Hunter is a junior but is expected to return next season."
- "Dorman says he is “still looking for a piece” to help out of the bullpen."
- "Wilson suffered an arm injury in the state 6A playoffs but it’s not considered serious and he is not facing surgery. 'It may come down to money for Paul,' Dorman said."

Eggers article TYPO: "In four games in Scottsdale, Cedillo was a sterling 7 for 15 at the plate. Then he got hurt and missed the next three games." Reality: Cedillo was 6 for 15 to start the season in SURPRISE.
And then: Canham said “He started to drift away from that belief and steady confidence. But Ruben is extremely capable. He’ll get another chance next season.”
I hope that's true, but I wouldn't be surprised if he entered the transfer portal (portal closes July 13).

This is fantastic news, albeit a blow to the armchair physicians that post here, which are many.

Assumption you could have made - their season ended a while ago, if they haven't had surgery by now, there wasn't going to be any for either pitcher.
Kane has never appeared on any mock drafts nor has he ever been draft ranked in the top 250's. If Mikey is drafted, it probably won't come early and without much money.
During Dorman's search for the missing piece in his bullpen, he might be wise to also see what is available in the way of a Friday night starter.
Promising Frosh - No mention of Cam Reeder?

We get pretty much zero info to go on, and have to guess......how often is it TJ surgery? I'd say it's a pretty common outcome, and not typically a stretch to assume......great to hear they won't need the surgery though.

I’m talking about the people who post immediately upon the injury, the remote video physicians on this board. You, rather they know who they are. Better just to wait than make an uneducated guess imo.

Losing Kane and Kasper would be detrimental to our season next year.

Losing Kane and Kasper would be detrimental to our season next year. Especially Kane.....I feel like Kasper would probly find his way to the pine with the up and coming talent in the outfield.

Kane isn't even in the Baseball America Top 500 but Eggers must have gotten some reliable information from the coaching staff. He had a nice season but with the draft only 20 rounds now, who knows. There are always a few surprises, good and bad.

“The LSU Regional was unfortunate. That’s a team that was ranked No. 1 much of the season. A team of our caliber that almost hosted should not have been sent there. We had two tough draws."
Darwin hits the ball on the screws. Should have gone to Indiana State or Oklahoma State.
Why the NCAA Selection Committee puts so much emphasis on a four-game mulliganfest like conference tournaments over a 30-game, three-month grind is beyond me.

I don’t like any of the conference tournaments. Just a money grab as far as I’m concerned. And just to pre-empt some replies, I was very, very happy with the OUTCOME of the men’s basketball tourney when the Beavers won.

The top teams phoning it in when they have stuff on lock makes them far less exciting. I have seen some models where there is monetary awards for tournament results which would be good for teams but could potentially be bad for post season slots when the top teams start trying. IDK, its a mess.
