In my sleep-addled state last night, I thought that you had a decent point. But as I watch highlights of Oregon (a team that Oregon State outscored 27-12 with Jaren Hunter only throwing 35 pitches) and a just awful Oral Roberts team, I realized that you are full of it. Oregon State was a much bigger Omaha threat than Oregon or Oral Roberts, but just got destroyed by the draw. Baton Rouge is the most difficult place to play in the country for a team outside of the Confederate States of America. At a minimum, Oregon State should have been sent to a 13-16 seed. To be sent to the most difficult stadium to play in against second-best team in the country (the Committee sucks in pretty much every way), the winningest team in the past 50 years, Oregon State was set up to fail. And still was only a couple of runs away from taking down Goliath. Oregon State got straight up done dirty. Congratulations 2023 Beavs! Our hats are off to you! And you deserved better. My position is we wouldn't have the starting pitching or bullpen needed to WIN at Omaha. However, I've watched a lot of these Super Regionals, thinking we wouldn't be competitive against most of these teams in a 3 game series is a joke. The ducks are 1 win from Omaha & don't have Stoffal or Shade. Two players they had when we beat them 3 out of 4. We also beat them on the road, with the ducks coming in on a 10 game win streak. Turley was also not a factor going 0-2 with 2 K's in 4 games.(He got 1 start against Stoffal) If we aren't sent to Baton Rouge, it's a different story. I mean, if Oregon State starts Sellers and Jimenez at Omaha, all they need is a decent outing from from Lattery/Ferrer, and Oregon State is in the Championship Series with a fully-rested Sellers and Jimenez. Oregon State always needs a pitcher to step up almost out of nowhere to win at Omaha, and Jimenez looked like he might fill that roll in 2023. I do not know that Oregon State would have had the pitching to escape a loss by Jimenez or Sellers in games one or two. Of course, with as big as T.D. Ameritrade plays in the day, most of those Ferrer home runs at Alex Box are just long fly balls.

But, the ucks got back two of their better pitchers at the end of the year. We lost two of ours. The pitching depth that we lost is why I don’t think we had a chance to get to Omaha.

LSU is 48-8 (.857) all-time at the Baton Rouge Regional, since they expanded the Tournament to 64 teams, and no team outside of the former Confederate States of America has won a game in a Baton Rouge Regional.
We just won two games at the Baton Rouge regional, and Oregon was not part of the Confederacy. We won a couple games there in 2012 as well. Perhaps you mean no team outside of the Confederacy has defeated LSU at a BR regional?

Who are these pitchers the ducks supposedly got back? Their Friday night guy & best pitcher....Jace Stoffal pitched 7 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, against us on 4-7-23. He last pitched against Arizona St on 4-28-23 & has been shutdown since. Here are the names of the duck pitchers that faced us this year and game results. 4-7-23 2-0 loss to the ducks Stoffal Dallas Mollerus 4-8-23 4-2 Beaver win Mercado Grabmann Grinsell Anderson 4-9-23 12-2 Beaver win Uelmen Spoljaric Dallas Anderson Hughes Umlandt McShane Pace 5-2-23 11-6 Beaver win Pace Spoljaric McShane Hughes Here are the duck pitchers that have pitched in the Supers so far. Game 1 Grinsell McShane Umlandt Mercado Dallas Mollerus Game 2 Spoljeric Umlandt Anderson Dallas Mollerus It looks like the pitchers the ducks used against us, Pac 12 Tournament, Regional, & Super Regional minus Stoffal. "I don't get it." Also, LSU would've kicked the s%#t out of these guys if they were sent to Baton Rouge instead of Nashville.

The Beavers lost by a run in a 10-inning heartbreaker in 2012 and lost the Sunday game in 2023 by a run, as well. No team outside of the Confederate States of America has ever won a single game at the Baton Rouge Regional.

I think you mean against LSU, but that’s not what you’re saying.

We beat Sam Houston twice at this year's BR Regional.
We beat Belmont and UL-Monroe at the 2012 BR Regional.
Oregon was not a member of the Confederacy.

Welp, Oregon State scored 12 runs in two tries against LSU, and the "#12 team in the country" Kentucky only scored three. Oregon State gave up 19 runs in two tries, and Kentucky gave up 22.
Oregon State averaged doing six runs per game better than Kentucky.
Still horses#*t for the Beavs to get sent to Baton Rouge.
