All of their runs on HR. Most on balls down the middle. You have to throw junk to beat these guys. Breaking balls ate us alive. Of course the UMP called some really sh't strikes. Really screwed Kyle on a ball outside. I don't think our guys have elite junk. That’s what she said

Beavers needed to solve the big curve from Hurd. They didn't seem comfortable at all when the big bending curve came at them. Too many strikeouts from that pitch. And WAYYY too many watching.

Note LSU went out an imported two starters. Skenes from Air Force and Hurd from UCLA. Maybe more. College Ball looks to be changing to into Money Ball. You can see how LSU can fund imports.

Baseball doesn't make nearly as much money as football or basketball, so schools that want to throw money at it are probably going to have an easier time, relatively speaking, signing transfers for NIL. Of course, one would think if someone did THAT good they'd just enter the MLB draft.

Look, if we each donate $1 million a year, we can easily stomp over anybody else... I'll be the first in line after the first 40 of you.

I'll take responsibility for jinxing Ferrer.....sorry Nobody jinxed him, he’s just not that good. Considering the history of Beaver pitchers that we have gotten accustomed to. He was pretty damn good last season.....and he's been very good at times this season, including the inning before......in fact, the pitch that jobert took yard was not a bad pitch....maybe t touch up in the zone, but jobert put a good swing on it.

Fehmel tore them up on junk (the first game) When Fehmel pitched against LSU, half their team was in middle school and the coach was at Arizona......soooooo not sure what worked in 2017 is particularly relevant to this year's squad.

Fehm gave up three earned runs on three hits and two walks against Arizona in 2017. Fehm struck out six and should have earned the win. Instead, Max Engelbrekt blew the save. In the bottom of the ninth, Zak Taylor got on on a throwing error by Kyle Lewis. Preston Jones came on to run for Taylor and stole second. Adley Rutschman, hitting ninth, struck out swinging, but Cody Deason's pitch was wild. Jones managed to come all the way around from second for a 5-4 walk-off win on the wild pitch.
