Looks like rain and lightning starting at 2… why wouldnt they kick the day off earlier? They can't. Apparently there is a NCAA rule that no games before 12:00 on Sunday. I picked this up at the LSU message board so take it with a grain of salt.

Historically speaking you would be correct, that is where they originated from. I'm just saying it started there and is probably unofficially kept there for that reason. But who knows. Either way, it just means we may or may not see a game with lightning inbound.
