Yesterday he got promoted from Eugene to Richmond, Virginia (AA) and in his Meckleresque way starts out at that level by going 3 for 5.

s%#t. Never got a chance to see him play in Hillsboro. To be fair, he only played seven games in Hillsboro.

Bryant Salgado was released by Asheville, Alex McGarry was demoted down to AA Chattanooga, and Ben Holmes was demoted down to AA Birmingham.

The Flying Squirrels are huge in Richmond. It's a growing, fun city.

He still might not be a big leaguer. Remember Todd Linden? Linden played in the Majors for parts of five seasons and two years in Japan. Yes, he did. But, after blasting 53 HRs in AAA, he was called up by the Giants. His five years of part time totaled 502 ABs, 8 HRs, a .231 average, and a -1.8 WAR. He was a great AAAA player, not a big leaguer.
