Yes, I’m still bitter. Yep me too. That team still almost did it even with what happened heading into the super against Vandy.....that super, and specifically KJ Harrisons 3 run bomb in the first, was probly my favorite moment at Goss ever......that team should've been the front end of another B2B.

Hypothetical for you. Had they won it all in 2017, do you think Casey would’ve stepped down a year early? He chose to leave on a high note….Would that have been high enough?

I think no way he steps away.....with '18 team just as strong coming back, I think he wants to go out trying for B2B, which is what should've happened

Sometimes, life gets in the way. Casey stepped down after the 2018 season, because of stuff more important than baseball. 2018 was his Last Dance, win or lose in 2017. Still, I am sure that winning a National Championship in 2018 made the decision far easier.

That, really, is an amazing accomplishment. Everything else in OSU athletics pales in comparison. Not to belittle our other teams, but does WSU, UW, UO have anything comparable? Especially in what used to be called a warm weather sport. It's not football or Men's BBall, but it is in the next tier.

Washington also has multiple rowing National Championships. Oregon has multiple National Championships in Cross Country, Track and Field, and Acrobatics and Tumbling.

Some had Oregon the better team going into the season. And although head-to-head is one metric, baseball is about a season. Thus far Oregon has held up pretty well vs a much tougher overall schedule.

Washington also has multiple rowing National Championships. Oregon has multiple National Championships in Cross Country, Track and Field, and Acrobatics and Tumbling. Florida has won twice as many men's track NCs (4-2) as Oregon in this century (sorry, indoor track doesn't count. It's the equivalent of spring football). Texas A&M and LSU have won four women's titles in this century, Florida and USC three. Oregon has won two. Oregon also has the distinct advantage of hosting 10 NCAA meets in this century. Northern Arizona has won six men's CC titles, including the last three. Colorado has won four, Oregon has won two. Stanford has won four WCC titles since 2000, BYU and Colorado three, Oregon two. So Oregon has no sport that matches our post-2000 success. By no stretch of the imagination can one conclude their T&F or CC programs are the best in the country since 2000. I can only assume you are joking about competitive cheerleading.
