Well, if it's not the umpire, not the field, or some Pac12 conspiracy it must be the bats. And, it must be going on for some time. I mean ASU was scoring big before and after our series. Weird... a (3) game series with a team ahead of OSU where the runs and hits are damn close... OSU like (-4) in runs and (-2) in hits?? Yet it's their bats (not OSU's) and not just a poor weekend by the staff in a completely different environment!? For anyone who was in attendance or watched closely, ASU was the better team that weekend. For anyone who was in attendance or watched closely, ASU was the better team that weekend. ********************* Which is quite sad. The Sun Devils are embarrassing themselves this weekend in Eugene. They're playing in the same place, against the same we took 2 of 3 from. "That's baseball."

The playing field at Jackie Robinson stadium is substantially different from that at Phoenix Municipal stadium. While Robinson is grass, it is well kept and generally in line with what we would see all the way to Omaha. The facility that ASU plays at turns college baseball into slow pitch softball. I'd be embarrassed if I were a college AD and approved putting the pac 12 tournament at that place two years in a row Put a pony keg in each dugout and let spectators bring our own coolers. Heavier marine air also cools off at night at JRS and the ball doesn't carry anywhere near as well as it does in the day. The same is true with Dodger Stadium. As for the ASU series, I'm hearing through the grapevine there was something funky with ASU's bats. Make of that rumor what you will, I have nothing to substantiate it other than the people giving me that info are generally very credible. The Pac-12 Tournament is at Scottdale Stadium, a totally different facility than Phoenix Municipal, where ASU plays. We scored 30 runs. Did we also doctor our bats?

Shoot the messenger if you wish, I'm a big boy. Our pitching is better than ASU's. So we should have scored a lot of runs off them. We played three games at Oregon, the Ducks scored six runs. ASU just played a series at Oregon and gave up 33. Certainly Parker is an OSU "Homer." But it was totally out of character for him to say what he said, as convincingly as he said it.

But we have also scored in double figures in three of our four games since leaving ASU. Perhaps our offense isn't as dismal as many of us think.
