So much drama in one post. Did I miss anything? Just saying, there's a lot of "if, maybe, maybe not" going on right now. I don't think I'd buy tickets to Omaha, but you do what you want. 😏 Today's another day! What kind of jackass buys Omaha tickets less than 20 games into the season?

Well, uh, I made a non-refundable reservation for the only non-stop flight from Portland to Omaha after the second weekend in 2017. But I was feeling a good vibe, even if it was still February.

Makes sense. 2017 was a slightly more proven entity than our basically rookie team. Shows there is no guarantee matter the talent. But seriously why? Even if flights to Omaha are booked you can easily fly in to any number of other airports and drive less than 300 miles to get to Omaha. Or just not take a direct flight?

Even if flights to Omaha are booked you can easily fly in to any number of other airports and drive less than 300 miles to get to Omaha. Or just not take a direct flight? A number of reasons. Trying to stretch the dollar, the feel of being assured that I’ll arrive in Omaha and not get stuck at a connecting airport due to weather, the thought that a lot of Beaver fans will make the trip and if I don’t act soon I’ll have to take the long way to get to Omaha if there will be room. This was the first time I was the one making plans to watch the Beavers away from Corvallis. Also, I only had 3 weeks of vacation for that year, and if the Beavers did make it all the way, I’d have pretty much exhausted my allotted time when combined with the days off for the home opener, Regionals, and Super Regionals. If I only needed to use a half-day of vacation on the day of the fight instead of a full day when a connection was needed, I had to take it.

Every Fan has the right to be concerned about anything. I thought the Running mistake was huge and changed the game. Ferrer getting worked over would have anyone concerned. I think he even dished up HR Ball to one of their weaker hitters. I know I put too much emotion into a Beaver Game but a love Baseball and Beav baseball.

Base running errors have been painful all season. Not sure if it's inexperience or strategy but they need to clean it up.

Ferrer still not up to snuff after injury? Time will tell. The good news is that several pitchers have show the potential to step into the role of mid-relief 'hold' pitcher.
On offense, admittedly cherry picking here, Guerra (4 for last 9 ab, w 4 rbi) and Cedillo (last night) are encouraging. Forrester in the last 4 games is 2 for his last 11 ab...plus 6 BB...so nearly .500 OBP. McDowell, back to Earth (3 for his last 18 ab).
The pieces seem to be there, both on the mound and at the plate. If all cylinders get chugging at once the team could still have a very good season.
Beavs have lost the last two games that Kmatz started - but he's been decent, though not at a "Shutdown Stanford" level (I assume he'll start today). He needs to keep the ball in the park against a very proficient HR hitting lineup (4 players with 3 or more HR). Last season he was, by far, the most likely P to yield the long ball.

Ferrer had Mono I don't think there was any injury. Mono can be brutal and he probably got off schedule with training and practice which is bound to affect performance. Kmatz is still get used to his enlarged arsenal, hoping to see the bag of tricks working overtime tonight.
