Dang. That is HIGHLY complimentary of DJU to compare the Smith/Lindgren system to Sean McVeigh's LA Rams offense.

Sounds like a great kid. Didn't deal on Clemson, hasn't big-timed anyone here and actually sought us out. Saw him at Goss on Saturday. He's a big dude.

Still kind of unreal a guy like that actually came to OSU after all the years of wishing. Feel like my whole life we've been talking about how if we just had an elite QB we could really take a step. We've had some great ones but no one with this much resume.
The quote that really stood out was,"...a system that plays to my strengths as a QB". You wouldn't think an athletic monster like DJ would crave a PA run attack but he's obviously an intelligent guy. Why get your body wrecked in a QB run system when you can have plays designed that protect you and get targets open.
Also hea a big guy but that screen is massive! I hadn't seen that thing in person or from that angle yet, good gravy.

I am sure they have them for sale at your local Costco - I wonder if you can get free delivery on that?
But seriously, it was nice last season not having all of the "junk" on each side of the old screen, and a much bigger, clearer screen. Much better to see replays and boo some of the worst zeebs in all of college football!

Could be an insult. Well, in the interview he specifically said Sean McVay's offense with Jared Goff, for what it's worth. I'm assuming he means 2018-2019 era when Goff was a Pro Bowler, and prior to their fallout which led to Goff leaving the team.

A Third Round pick, which the Lions used on Ifeatu Melifonwu, a third-string strong safety. 3. A First Round pick, which the Lions traded with a Second and Third Round pick to the Vikings for the Vikings First and Second Round picks. The Lions used the picks on Jameson Williams, a backup receiver, and Josh Paschal, a third-string defensive end. 4. A First Round pick in 2023, the sixth overall pick in the draft.
I saw a weird ranking the other day, which ranked Goff higher than Stafford, which I still think is ludicrous. I have never been enamored of Goff. His hands are so small. The fact that he can throw the all at all is something of a miracle.

Not really a NFL fan, nor of Goff, but Detroit won 9 games this past season, and (4) of the losses were 4 pts or less.

I looked it up now because I was curious and he had a good to excellent 2022 by the numbers. 4400 yards, 29 TD's 7 INT's 99.3 QBR

He did NOT trade Goff for Stafford and items 2, 3, and 4. Lions get: Jared Goff 2021 3rd rounder 2022 1st rounder 2023 1st rounder Rams get: Matthew Stafford
