I haven't been able to watch most of game, but the few AB's I saw, timing was of our guys was way off. I saw some guys transferring weight to back foot as ball was entering the hitting zone. Not seeing a lot of, or any momentum towards the pitch just late swings. Weber swinging strike 2 and swinging strike 3 were perfect examples. Catcher had the ball by the time the bat was in a position to make contact. Whoa...

Tyler Mejia: 2 ip = 6 SO. A tiny ray of light. Following Lattery: 2 ip = 5 SO.

So we lose three top notch outfielders and you expect to hit better than last year? And last years hitting wasn't all that great. Best batting average in the past 20 seasons: 1. 2018
2. 2005
3. 2006
4. 2022
Best OBP in the past 20 seasons: 1. 2018
2. 2022Best slugging percentage in the past 20 season: 1. 2018
2. 2022Most runs Oregon State history: 1. 2018 2. 2022
Most hits Oregon State history:
1. 2018 2. 2006 3. 2022
Most doubles Oregon State history:
1. 2018 2. 2022
Most home runs past 20 seasons:
1. 2018 2. 2022
Most total bases Oregon State history:
1. 2018 2. 2022
Most stolen bases in the past 35 years.
Define "all that great."

We now have a number of hitters that are damn near Auto Outs. No contract, swing from your ass. We may have hit one or two balls well and one was foul.

Tyler Mejia: 2 ip = 6 SO. A tiny ray of light. Following Lattery: 2 ip = 5 SO. Looks like two bright rays of light. Lawson pitched well, as well. Larson has pitched much better as a reliever than a starter. Maybe someone else gets the start against Portland next week?

I think Wazzu did their homework and exposed a couple of the new hitters. And Nevada watched that tape. We lost six starters. I was hoping it would be more a reload, but it is starting to look a lot more like a rebuild. Kasper earned a golden sombrero. And why is Peterson starting?

Sorta feel it wasn’t the time to keep experimenting with the lineup. Need a solid team.

Well the 45 minute postgame meeting didn’t help, maybe go for an hour.

Just trying out different lineups on the midweek games hoping someone steps up probably. These games are gonna hurt the ole RPI

Well the 45 minute postgame meeting didn’t help, maybe go for an hour. I was kind of hoping that that that was a good sign. After watching this game, I am beginning to think that it is a bad sign. I am starting to get some 2009 vibes from this team. I am worried that there are too many egos and not enough team players. We have a lot of great pieces, but I am not sure that they all fit together.

If they can keep it up, this won't hurt too badly.

I realize everyone is disappointed with this not being a 65-0 W/L season, but I think it's a bit early to give up. After all, how they play at the end of the season is much more important than how they're playing now.
