After turning that double play in the middle of the game, he struted off the mound and screamed "Fu*k yeah" at least once. Loud enough that not only I could hear it, but so could a lot of other people. At this level, that is uncalled for. Leave it for the bush league and Little League.
I didn't see any warning issued by blue, for the foul language.

If we beat them and stop hitting weak grounders into DP then they won't have anything to crow about. That guy utterly had our number yesterday too, although it sure seemed like he was getting help from blue on a lot of close pitches. Agree that was a classless move, and a couple things he did you could tell didn't sit well with our team.
Hopefully our guys can use it today and shut up their yap holes.

When people fail is when they don't learn when and where it's acceptable. My kids start cussing as soon as they can talk but only at home and in the car when there are no guests or friends over. College athletics are a weird border line between professional and game but it would probably behoove players to consider it a professional environment where yelling profanities is probably not a good look.

So you think little leaguers should be dropping the F bomb...Interesting You think they don't? I think they shouldn't. Cussing is for emphasis, liberally sprinkling your speech with F's just turns it into white noise.

Okay, after reading the replies, I have one comment. There is the breakdown of civility in American society these days. and I'm going to blame it on the last occupant in the White House. He he made it cool for at least half of the country to be rude, discourteous, and a bully. He gave a new definition to the word presidential. He's a role model to a lot of people. Why shouldn't they act like him?
I am by no means a prude. but there's a time and a place for everything. These young men are representatives of their university. Is this the kind of representation you want? I don't. And I expect that Mitch would demand the same.

Nobody ever, in the history of sports or civilization did the horrible things you spoke of prior to 2016. Sad. Hopefully now the players will take a cue and just mumble nonsense while coming off the field.

Go back and watch sporting contests from the 80s and you'll see foul mouthed coaches and players alike. But you have to read lips. I think it's not worth noting if it's a "f%#* yeah!" or a dismal "f%#*" after striking out. If it's aimed at an opposing player, then it needs to be curtailed. "f%#* yeah" is ok. "f%#* you" is not.

And while I do agree with the lack of being "presidential" with said person, from my experience, the lack of holding people accountable is by far the bigger issue.....I have a kid in Jr high. The bad kids are running the place because the adults are afraid to reprimand. It's total chaos, and not much is done about it. Teachers and admin are worried about being sued, or labeled, or losing their job. All that said, I don't worry too much about D1 baseball players dropping an F bomb here and there......if they are a turd they ain't gonna last long at this level.

My experience in sports going back nearly 50 years is that baseball particularly (and pitchers even more particularly) has ALWAYS had a certain % of self-centered (sometimes talented, sometimes not) players. And guess what, it always will. This is in no ways a new thing or a harbinger/symptom of societal breakdown. As far as representing their University, I'm sure the WSU player in question thinks he's a GREAT representative of his U by virtue of his "kicking ass and taking names". Do I approve or condone it? No. Am I shocked and disturbed by it? No. And if it sticks in OSU fans' heads - mission accomplished. Lastly, I don't think that kind of behavior/language tells you anything about the kid's politics.
