Can use this thread to track the guys as they go for post season glory.
P-12 Championships page, note there is a preview Chertow video, and brackets have been released:
Bracket discussion and link:
The 2023 Pac-12 Wrestling Championships will be held on Sunday, March 5 at Maples Pavilion in Stanford, Calif., on the Stanford University campus.
Session 1 will begin at 10 a.m. and will include the preliminary rounds.
Session 2 will begin at 4:45 p.m. with the 5th-place matches, followed by the championship matches at 6 p.m., live on Pac-12 Networks. Live coverage will take place on Pac-12 Networks, with additional coverage of the event across Pac-12.com and the Pac-12 Now app.
I think our draws are good. ASU 141 is out of the tournament...they have another kid in there. Surprised by Mateo's #1. He is opposite ASU and Tree, which is good. Go Beavs!

I think we ended up in pretty good spots in the brackets overall. I think we will get 6-7 guys in this year. Belton will need to hold serve at 141 to get in. Crosby will need to pull 2 upsets over Wick and Cardenas. He has been close with both of them. Can't get underneath for long against Wick.

Saw a comment about ASU’s 141 Emilio. He upset a highly ranked wrestler I believe in one of his last outings and OSU recruited him hard as well. I hope Belton can win, but I certainly don’t think it’ll be a walk in the park.
Any thoughts on who we think will bring home the hardware at Pac-12’s?
Go Beavs

Yeah ASU has some line up shuffling going into Sunday. Vasquez - 141 out, but a serviceable back up in who could make the finals. Then at 197, hearing that Norfleet is in as the #5 seed. He'd see Truax in the upper half of the bracket in the semi's. Opposite Tanner. PAC gets 4 at that weight, maybe he's their best shot at getting one of those. He hasn't competed since early December, Vegas so it will be interesting to see how he looks.

Emilio Ysaguirre is wrestling pretty tough right now coming off the win over Hardy. He was 5-5 for the season going into that match. Saenz will be a tough match in the semis for him.
I think we only get 3 at 197 ... I think it will come down to Norfleet having to beat Stemmett to get the 3rd spot. If he gets 4th I don't see him getting an at large with so few matches this year. The 197 Pac-12 title will change hands this year.
I think we are looking at 6 qualifiers and possibly 7-8 if we can pull some upsets.
Thanks for sharing the mat links!!

Kaylor wins! OT.
Zeke Jones’ multiple challenges may have hurt his wrestlers chances. Gave Kaylor lots of time to catch his breath.
