Adlee the last 8 games: 148 minutes played (18.5 per game) .542FG%, .576 3Pt%, 9.6ppg. Some have said she could play the role Kat Tudor played while here. I don't know. They both can shoot. There is no doubt about that. Adlee has that super quick release that should really pay benefits in the years to come. Kat averaged 13mpg her freshman year, same as Adlee, but Kat played in every game. Adlee only played in 22 games. Kat averaged 4.8ppg as a freshman. 12ppg as a sophomore. It's not fair to compare the final 8 games of Kat's freshman year to Adlee's because Kat's final 8 games were mostly NCCA and Pac12 tournament games, and coach didn't play her many minutes during that time. Just for the record though Kat shot 3-17 those last 8 games, and 0-9 the last six games. She was ready her sophomore season though. From what I've seen these last 8 games, I think Adlee will be ready as a sophomore as well. rmancarl,
As always well researched and well stated!
With good fortune and good luck, the pieces could all be in place for some excellent years ahead in OSU WBB!
For that to happen, I believe the following needs to happen:
* All our current players return that are eligible to do so (with the exception of Noell who has already determined to leave).
*Talia has a complete recovery from her injury
*The team acquires a quality point guard with at least two years of eligibility left . Either that or Martha or one of the two freshmen show that they can be that person.
Probably too much to ask for, but hope springs eternal!
Go Beavs!

Adlee will benefit from the training table since she appears to carry more weight than what would be ideal. Time will tell whether she takes advantage of the opportunity.

By any chance do you work for nike? She's a strong young lady. I don't see any reason she needs to lose weight. If she wants to fine but I'd never say she needs to.

Weight comments 🙄 If you want to contribute to the conversation, find a better way to do so.

I bet she could right now outrun, outjump and out lift (not to mention outshoot) you in your prime - whenever that was. Adlee looks perfectly fit to my eyes.

I would say she needs to do some endurance training, but that's the same for all kids moving up to college level sports.

All the D1 athletics have training programs focused on diet, fitness, and mental health and performance. The term training table has been around for decades.

Is Adlee somehow more fragile than Jelena? Because I'm pretty sure that there were discussions on this board about her weight and its impact on her mobility. So what's different about Adlee? S&C is as much part of the game prep as is studying film and practicing shooting. It shouldn't be off-limits to discussion.
Back to the OP . . . now that she has the confidence to use it, she has the complete package. What I was most pleased with - besides the confident shooting - was that she is almost always where she belongs, on O and on D. She had a couple excellent passes and I can't remember a single bad one. As a 3, she doesn't drive a lot but she executes her drives very well. Scott has to be over-the-moon, because she seems to be right on her spot every moment.
I'm with the group that sees her as Kat 2.0, but with a little extra upside in her strength and passing ability. Maybe she's Kat 2.1.

People are touchy about everything. Replace ibekwe (from the men's team) with adlee in the comment and would it even be discussed or seen as sexist/racist. I don't think so. Every single player on any team needs to improve their body (physically and mentally) year to year.

What's interesting is peoples insistence on being allowed to say anything they feel like, any time they feel like it, and getting grumpy when others call them out on it. What has been great about Jelena's conditioning is that she can now go 38 minutes in a game and not be winded. I couldn't care less how much she weighs. And yes, I wouldn't/don't say anything about men or women's weight, because it's irrelevant. I only care whether they can run the court for as long as the team needs them to do it. Anything else is nonsense. And being strong enough to get and keep rebounds.

I didn’t see her getting winded out there.

Let's not forget that the summer that Jelena and Jaz were stuck in Corvallis they did a lot of working out together. They ran up and down the stairs at reser most every day. Jelena worked hard to get in better shape and was successful if you ask me.

Adlee looks like she hit the weight room pretty hard to me...Rueck has already said that she didn't play a lot earlier in the season because she had to get caught up on defense. She did have an ACL injury, but that's been three years now. I think she's much more than just a 3-point shooter...we've seen flashes of what she can do as far as passing and moving without the ball and we'll see more and more of that. I don't really agree with the Kat Tudor comparison. I think Lily Hansford is a much better comparison with Tudor. I think Adlee might compare more closely to TVO in that I think she will have a very good all-around game to go with her shooting ability.
