That is good news. Thank you. When he says "Destiny's team played close to the epicenter", does he mean before the earthquake, or during the earthquake? One would think it was significantly before, and the team was well out of the most dangerous zone at the time of the quake, being either on the road or already home.

One would think it was significantly before, and the team was well out of the most dangerous zone at the time of the quake, being either on the road or already home. I took a look at the relative geography of Turkey to gain some additional perspective about where the teams of the two former Beavers are located. Slocum's Hatay team is headquartered about 90 air miles from Gaziantep, now considered the epicenter of Monday's 7.8-magnitude earthquake. Pivec's Bursa team is located about 500 air miles northwest of the epicenter. There is massive devastation in the Hatay area. A credible source who communicated post-quake with Slocum shared that Slocum was in Hatay two days prior to the earthquake. As Ron Callan shared, Pivec has been in Prague, Czech Republic during some down time between games and practices. It is unknown at this point whether the KBSL, the women' pro league in Turkey, will resume this season. The KBSL is one of the better paid women's pro leagues now that Russia is a less desirable destination. Breanna Stewart, Courtney VanderSloot, and Satou Sabally all are currently rostered with the top Turkish team in the KBSL.

Ali opened the doors for good players to come to OSU and Jamie ushered them in. Those are two players that did so much for the Beavs just by signing on. They were good enough on the perimeter that allowed a high and low post on the court.

Lotta grit in that trio right there. Just guessing that if the no-penalty transfer portal were available back then, they'd be like "oh hell no!"
