Really puzzled why the two seniors on this team just aren’t making any significant impact. Guess the young leadership bodes well at least.

Can't complain about the effort. First half played pretty well. Second half not so much.

Few thoughts from tonight:
Would like to get Taylor more involved offensively in tight-games like these - and think in a rebuild year we should want him to more consistently create offense for himself. He has a decent basketball IQ and tends to not want to force bad shots, but if I'm Tink I live with the 4/14's, thrive with the 7/11's.
Ibekwe gave some minutes tonight. Would like to see him get more run with the starting group, and give Andela a bench role. I feel he's thrived off the bench more, anyway.
Where has Ryuny's confidence gone? The kid isn't even looking to score anymore. Playing him with Rataj and Taylor is tough because it force's Pope to have create a lot of offense, or Akanno...which is not ideal.
Really like Bilodeau's development. Pope-Taylor-Bilodeau is a group that is easy to be optimistic about moving forward.
Tough loss in another winnable game with poor offensive execution down the stretch. Enough reasons for optimism to enjoy these tough-fought games, though.

In 2010, Oregon State entered the Arizona State game having won two of the previous three but lost by 10. Arizona, meanwhile, beat Oregon by 13. Two days later, the Beavers beat the Wildcats 63-55 in Tucson. Of course, that may have been the worst Arizona team in the past 35 years. But it's not unheard of for Oregon State to randomly pull off the improbable.

Is this a record for “idon’tgiveas%#t…ness?” Two pages of a PAC 12 game. Two……ahelluvalongtime AFTER the affair. Methinks not enough people give enoughofas%#t to merit change. If we were getting 9,000 butts in the seats, registering good ratings, and 10 pages, here.……..WT wouldn’t stand a chance. That said……I am guilty of the “charge.” IDGAF (enough).

Ibekwe putting in some work this half. My favorite play of the game was when he torched Warren Washington for the slam from about 10-12 feet out. Washington is not slow and Ibekwe is deceptively quick. I didn't realize he's only been playing for 4 years, sort of like Eubanks. I suspect he'll get nothing but better over the next couple years.

Speaking for myself here, not sure if anyone else feels the same way, but I watch the games, check in here periodically, and for the most part don't dive in too deep or post much after games because the same talking points are repeated after every game and I don't feel it's worth my time to argue. After a win it's "TiMe To GiVe AnOtHeR eXtEnSiOn!!!". While after a loss it's "No one cares anymore" vs. "Look at WT's PAC-12 record!!!" vs. "We're stuck with him so the negative nancies need to get over themselves" vs. "No way we keep Pope past this year". Did I miss any others? There's very little actual discussion about the games themselves and I just find myself reading the exact same argument from both sides over and over again. In a thread asking what we thought would happen the rest of the season before most of Pac-12 play started I posted a game by game prediction (which, humble brag, I've only been off on by 1 so far... lol), and there was zero interaction with it after the original thread trying to pose the same discussion was derailed into this exact same back and forth argument again almost immediately. As far as my interest in the program goes, I still attend the games I'm able to, watch all the others, and am interested to see how this team develops the rest of the season and into next. I love college basketball and want OSU to be relevant as much as anyone else here. I'll continue to watch the games and support these guys but I just don't see the need to contribute to the same schtick after every game other than an occasional post here and there right now. FWIW I'm not directing this post at you or anyone in particular, you just happened to be the one who posed the question.

The year 1982 isn't coming back. Ralph's tenure was special and those were magical years, but a sold out Gill isn't happening with these days. LED smart tvs with a sub to SlingTV are too convenient, plus a diminishing group of season ticket holders guarantee it. That's why they remodeled Reser and made it smaller. WT has a squad that's young and raw, they need more time, but they're growing. He's gonna be the coach in 2024. For better or worse, It's time to accept reality. And no, a bad loss to Arizona tomorrow isn't gonna change any of this.

Gill Coliseum is not smaller than in decades past. It has fewer seats. All or nearly all of the seating was on benches. Now a lot are on chairs. You can cram people closer together on benches.

And if we are in the top 25 with a little regularity (maybe a pipe dream) sell outs will happen with a Thursday game against Cal.
