I’m with ya ricke71, good group and love the two home grown recruits too. Think I would have added AJ Marotte to your list as well, she was #63 in 21’ class and has a high ceiling. Now if we can just keep them all here, and bring in a really solid 24’ class! Go Beavs!

There is a dominant sub-theme in just about every thread we have had on this board all year - Who's going to transfer out? Who we gonna lose to the portal this year?
Isn't that like having 4 married daughters and wondering which one is going to get divorced first rather than which one will have your first grandson? That's negative goal setting, people.
I've heard AJ say out loud she loves it here and can't imagine why anybody would transfer. We've all heard Talia say she's here for the long run. Raegan and Timea? Neither should have any cause for complaint about their freshman year, as evidenced by the 4 PAC 12 freshman of the week awards they've garnered (thus far). You can't earn those without playing decent minutes and being an integral part of the offense when you're in.
Noelle and Shallexus are certain to be back, and probably Jelena as well (unless she decides to play professionally in Europe). That only leaves Lily, Adlee, and Martha. I'd be sorry to see any of them leave, but it wouldn't be like losing Sasha.
Our base will be back. Start planning on it.

Good point, bvrbooster ! The whole team has gone through a lot together, so it'd be rough to see anyone transfer out. There are always good and bad reasons to do so, but it's been rough on the fans (probably teammates too) when it happens.

The team is so young and has a high ceiling it would have been a bad idea to have elite recruits in the '23 class. We have to run with what we got or players will leave. Right now we have a bit of an issue at the 2 guard spot where Talia, AJ, Adlee, Lily, and the two more shooting guards in the '23 class. That's half the roster with their eye on 1 spot...that's the real problem.
There is so much more nuance to this than simply stacking the best talent.
The core of Raegan, Timea, Talia, AJ is what we need to build around...and the only missing link is a PG and freshman true PGs, even highly ranked ones, rarely do well as a freshman. So the 5th piece to this roster is Marta...her development will be key to next year.

You may be right, but I think both Donovyn and Kennedie are looking first at the point position, so I wouldn't immediately classify them as 2's. I would also classify both AJ and Lily as 3's/wings, so I think your 'half the roster' is really divided nicely between the 3 positions. Talia can probably swing between all three of those spots for some minutes, and most could play 2 positions, whether it be 1-2 or 2-3. If Martha (Marta) does end up playing big minutes at point, and I tend to like her game, I hope we can wrangle a "holy jumpin' up-and-down Martha" (Marta) out of Ron Callan for old time's sake.

I'm guessing you are right because if she wants her Masters, it would be a good opportunity, but it will be her Covid bonus season and her starting experience this year could lead to an opportunity to play good minutes somewhere else. If she stays here, I doubt she is the starter again, but she has done surprisingly well this season for someone who had played a total of 260 minutes her first three seasons.

Yeah, her and that fake smile! And the way she runs away when other players want to give her a hug. What a meanie.
