I’m with Bleeda on this. Screw California and screw the NCAA for letting this happen. Bunch of greedy f%#*s in charge of things and they have ruined a beautiful sport. Time to cut the pseudo connections to universities….except that fans will tune out.

Hope the rowing team enjoys 2500 mile trips. I don’t think they are capable of rowing that far.

Time to cut the pseudo connections to universities….except that fans will tune out. There is nothing the NCAA could have possibly done to prevent this move. This is on USC and UCLA. Period. No one else merits any blame. The Big 10 rowing championships are in Indianapolis. A bit more expensive trip than Sacramento. Their basketball teams will be going to Minneapolis, not Vegas. This year's baseball tournament is in Indianapolis. Not sure where the 2024 event will be held, but not as close as Scottsdale, that's for sure. The Big 10 also has soccer championships, which the Pac-12 doesn't. On campus until the semifinals, this year in Columbus. Softball has a tournament too, the Pac-12 doesn't. Another big expense. UCLA and SC are gonna rack up those travel expenses.

Hope the rowing team enjoys 2500 mile trips. I don't think it'll impact rowing for both schools. A lot of their scheduling is in the sun belt, whether it is in southern California or Florida. But the non-revenue sport that'll have the biggest impact in changing the landscape will be men's and women's college soccer. The conference RPI will take a hit with their departures.

UCLA and SC are gonna rack up those travel expenses. The CFP eroded the conference on both sides. The Pac-12 only got two entrants in in nine years. And it destroyed the Rose Bowl's prestige. We screwed this up from the get-go. The Big Ten is to blame. Don't let them off the hook. But the Pac-12, specifically including Oregon State, not focusing more on athletics is also to blame. The conference not doing everything to add Oklahoma and Texas more than a decade ago, when that was still a distinct possibility also did not help. The conference evenly splitting revenue did not help. The overreaction to COVID-19 in 2020 eliminated what $40 million in revenue? Stanford slow-rolling the Pac-12 schedule, when it was clear that a workable 2020 season was still possible added fuel to the fire. The other 10 University Presidents, including Oregon State's Presidents, did everything that they could to screw over UCLA and USC and drain off as much money as possible without working to make sure that UCLA and USC were more fairly compensated for the value that they brought to the conference. The sad thing about this all is that UCLA and USC don't want this. It is a handful of upper echelon stuffed-shirt administrators, who want to make their two schools more money, so they can get raises and be able to afford the good caviar and top shelf bourbon. This has little to do with the overwhelming majority of people associated with UCLA and USC. To hell with tradition. To hell with the environment. To hell with what is best and right for student athletes. All of humanities' noblest ideals and aspirations turn out to merely be platitudes, meaning absolutely nothing at the end of the day. Sad but sadly true. As long as UCLA and USC are still here, I'm rooting for 'em. They are my 11th and 12th favorite teams, but they're still Pac-12 teams. I am boycotting everything Big Ten. The Big Ten is trash. The Big Ten did this with UCLA and USC's help. Not on my TV. I'm done with that conference. However, the Pac-12 moves forward. Those are my teams. Those are the teams that I'm watching.

All I know is our AD and several others aren't going to be cool with scheduling. They are pissed.

Which deserving Pac-12 teams were left out of the CFP?
If equal revenue sharing is good enough for the NFL, it's good enough for the Pac-12. Why should the presidents give more money to the LA schools and further the imbalance of power?
The Big Ten asked. No one was holding a gun to the SoCal schools heads, telling them they had to leave. It's on them.
As for Covid, the Pac-12 was hamstrung by the state of California, and the states of Oregon and Washington to a lesser extent.
