Articles I've seen aren't very hopeful. Yeah, word is a massive heart attack and he wasn't found for quite a period of time... not looking great. |

61 and in critical condition. He still has many years of coaching left, so I hope he can recover. Potentially a terrible loss for the college football world.

Why isn't this story over in the main board ? I realize he was the coach at WSU and not at OSU but this is more than a Rotating Tap type story . The man is not only a human being but an icon with a lot of history and stories . I think he deserves more than to be shunned to a section of this site that receives little attention

So sad to hear. I used to play basketball with his nephew who lives here in Bend, but lost touch during covid. Hope he is able to miraculously turn it around.

Who closes the bus door when the bus driver gets off?Just heard this one... priceless. I'm wearing my crimson sweater today for Coach Leach and pondering a daily quote from him. The dude was amazing. I spent most of my life frustrated by his ability to scheme and coach his way to wins over the Beavs when I thought we were better. Credit to him. A tip of the hat one last time to the ol Pirate.
