I'm not usually the type of person who gets all sour grapey when something doesn't go my way and dismisses the whole thing as a joke. But, in this case, I think that if Jack Colletto hadn't won the award for the "most versatile player in major college football", I would have gotten pretty #%&*ing sour grapey and dismissed the whole thing as a joke!
Congrats, Jack! Man did you ever deserve it! Thank you for being a Beaver!
Go Beavs!

That was a no-brainer. There have got to be some guys around who are serious two-way threats, but I can’t imagine a more valuable, versatile and impactful player than Colletto. I just love that he saw that he wasn’t a D-1 every down QB, so decided he’d play anywhere he was needed, and he was great at it! No player on our roster better embodies our program and culture than the Jackhammer. Well done, Jack, you earned the praise!

I looked up "Paul Hornung" in the dictionary and there was a picture of Jack Colletto there! :-) Then I looked up "versatile", and once again, there he was....
More seriously, I think he really does define the notion, and if ever there was a well-deserved award, this was it. And now my wife can quit asking me every day if I voted.
Pretty good for the Beaver program - we've gotten the Heisman, Biletnikoff, Groza, Hornung, Maxwell.... Go Beavers!

Incredible story when you think of most quarterbacks when told they aren’t good enough end up running the scout team, holding a clipboard and never seeing the field. Jack said that’s not going to be my story. Congrats to the hammer

Not sure there's been a more deserving winner of a college football award in recent years. Others you can always debate...I don't think this is even close. Congrats to Jack

This is AWESOME! I agree with all of you and so nice to see him get credit for his skills and hard work.
I was watching the Aints game in Tampa on Monday and every time I see Taysom Hill... I wonder if Jack can do it. I think Taysom may have a little more top end speed. But Jack might have a little more strength in the short yardage run game.
Honestly, Taysom probably throws a little better too but he has had more time to practice. LOL

I'm kind of sad that the award is not given out at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show. Oh well. Congrats, Jack! Great career in Corvallis!

Jack is awesome. Gonna miss him even if it was just for his incredible attitude.

One thing it does prove. Above all else he is a classic definition of a football player!!!!!

Zero entitlement and zero ego. They guy did everything and anything the coaches asked. A true role model and the embodiment of what Jonathan Smith, the coaches and the players have built. Very happy Jack got the national recognition he richly deserves! Go Beavs!
