Diametrically OPPOSED fellers. I’d take JS, everyday…..every time.

Wow! Just wow!
I’m still not selling my Deion rookie card! It will be interesting to see what he does in Boulder. The man can motivate and he played the game! Major mad skillz!
TBD as far as what will happen in Colorado. If I was a gambling man and I AM, my guess is he wins games and helps that program.
BLOODY!

I don’t have much to say about the matter except that both styles can be motivational to young men. The glitz and swagger of Sanders could give a lot of men confidence. We will have to wait and see.
Don’t forget that Wazzu’s Leach was an oddball but got consistent results.

Who was the last NFL All-Pro to become a head coach at a major college program?
Props to Deion, who had a pretty cushy and lucrative gig as a media personality before going to FCS to coach.
Heck, it's even difficult to think of an NFL coach who was an NFL All-pro. Bart Starr, Art Shell, now Jeff Saturday off the top of my head. I'm sure there are some I'm missing.

Some other NFL all-pros who became NFL HCs: Norm van Brocklin Forrest Gregg Mike Ditka Dick LeBeau Mike Singletary Mike Munchak Mike Vrabel You might need to be named "Mike" to do this. Still blanking on college guys.

There is a no brainer for what is best for OSU...NINER. Nuff said.
Could really care less if Deion succeeds or fails at CU.

Bill Currie and Ray Perkins were all-pros who coached at Alabama. At least I think Perkins was an all-pro at some point in his career. Joe Morrison coached at South Carolina.
I'm sure there are more.

His introductory press conference was entertaining to say the least. CU instantly grabbed the national headlines with this hire.
They play their hated rival Nebraska next fall who also just hired a new HC that's gone relatively unnoticed in comparison. I'm circling that game now as one to watch. Speaking of Nebraska, what a mess. First they fire the golden child mid season and interim coach who took over, another husker QB great, gets arrested last week for strangling his wife, allegedly at this point.

I don't understand the hate for Sanders. I've watched a couple of his talks with the team and he holds everyone on his team, from coaches down to players, accountable. Letting them know that if they are even one minute late for the the Sunday meeting, they are off the team.
He was an extremely hard worker and one of the best athletes of the last 100 years. He's made a crap ton of money, and instead of cashing a paycheck being a talking head, he is back to coaching the game that he loves.
I'd rather play fir or be the fan of a team coached by him than just about any coach in the NCAA right now.
