Just throwing this out there. Tuscany Suites a couple of blocks down for strip on Flamingo. Then for Rat Hole type fun. Ellis Island down off Flamingo a couple of blocks Brewery, have no idea how bad. One of the few place in LV you can still play Craps and BJ for $5. Can't speak for the Hotel but it is likely cheap. I don’t want to go to the place that offers a BJ for $5. No offense.

Tuscany Suites has a 2 BR suite that they use for a conference room that would be great for two couples or families that want to party in their room too

I just looked on Expedia for M Bay and it was $275 a night from 16th to 18th. I see lots of rooms avail at MGM Signiture. Might try Palms and Palms Place too That Hilton Resorts World package we got was not bad. It's just south of Circus Circus. Looks like the weekend starts at 190 for Friday and 240 ish for Saturday, but Thursday and Sunday are starting at 73 bucks, averages out nicely if you can stay the extra days. I almost want to exercise looking at their fitness room. IF it's OPEN (depends on convention traffic apparently) at the time, we're thinking about trying their hyperloop Tesla tunnel to the convention center on game day, from then it's hop on the monorail to the MGM then cross over to the Mandalay Bay/Luxor/Excalibur train then from there its supposedly just a 20 minute walk to the stadium. I have always liked the Signature. We've stayed there 3 or 4 times over the years. It’s actually quicker/more direct IMO to avoid the MB/Luxor tram. From MGM go to NYNY, but keep going west along Tropicana and you can cut through behind Luxor/Excalibur (think it’s Luxor Dr?) and pop out at the overpass near MB. source: me, today at Chargers/Raiders game. Staying at MGM.

I just hope no one bought tickets on Saturday morning flights to Vegas. The NFL flexed the Raiders Sunday game to the afternoon slot, bumping our game to 11:30 AM. Party all night!

The bowl website has updated the start time to 11:30am, but the banner at the top of the page still hasn't been updated. OSU announced the change on the osubeavers site. osubeavers.com/news/2022/12/5/football-oregon-state-florida-kickoff-in-las-vegas-moved-to-11-30-amIt's crazy to me that this could happen AFTER the bowl match-up was announced and fans made travel plans. The "fault" is really that of Allegiant Stadium, with them having a contract with both the NFL and the Las Vegas Bowl, and allowing this last-minute change to occur (instead of being willing/able to tell the NFL no), but the Las Vegas Bowl itself is going to get a big black eye from this, in my opinion. You simply cannot move the start time up 5 hours after already announcing a match-up and start time. The bowl website should have said "TBD" if it wasn't 100% locked in.

Crap.... In my excitement of going to the game, I bought tickets on the wrong side of the stadium.
Should I sell them at a loss and rebuy?
Stupid is as stupid does!!!!!

Silly question. The last bowl I went to was a long time ago. Is there a spot on the OSU website through which alumni should purchase tickets? Should I get these through the LVBowl website? (Wanted to make sure it doesn't help OSU in some small way. I didn't see anything on the athletic website.)

After getting thoroughly frustrated by the airline shenanigans and price gouging, I decided I needed to be at this game bad enough that I would drive down there from Portland. I mean I have the next two weeks off after all.....Will leave work early on Friday and drive through the night with my (almost) 19 year old son....we can switch off driving. And I get the occasional road soda. Them changing the game time really screwed things up a bit, but we will make do. Looks like about a 16 hour drive time.
Anyone else made this trip before? I'm seeing differing routes suggested, but looks to me like crossing over into eastern Oregon and taking Hwy 95 all the way down is the best bet. A two lane road through some of the loneliest land in America, haha. Looking forward to it, honestly...avoid some of the airport hustle and bustle, cut a some costs and hopefully make it a fun trip...maybe hit Red Rocks on way back or Death Valley.
BeavaBleeda may join, although he a bit soft...probably flying. I'll report back some updates, but anyone that's ,made the drive before feel free to chime in. Go Beavs!

Not going but made the trip to Phoenix from Medford area and back several times recently. We typically go over to Klamath on 140, down to Canby on 39, thru Adin to Susanville, on to Reno then the backside of the Sierras to Vegas. Great off the beaten path and similar in Time and distance to I5 to LA and over thru Palm Springs. Reno to Vegas is bleak but you can do whatever speed you want and passing is easy even on two lanes. I like the emptiness. If you have time to burn you can take the long way: Extraterrestrial Highway. Bring a big Beaver sticker for the sign. I didn’t have one. Oh and watch out for the cows on ET. You don’t want to drive it at night.

I drove from Portland to Vegas in June via Eastern Oregon. It was a fun/scenic trip and you probably save an hour going that route. However, I am not sure I’d do it in the Winter.
