Looks like it will be a much better test of Mit and Beers than Thursday's game, which is good. I don't think it's much of a teaching moment when Mit in particular can just dominate with her height alone. And Beers needs as much playing time as possible against good competition as they near Pac-12 play.

Jackson State has a lot of talent. They beat Texas Tech and were relatively competitive with UCLA.
Angel Jackson was a McDonald’s All-American and Daphane White was a top-50 five-star recruit — both are 6-5.

Looking at the box scores, they hung with Colorado for a half before it began to slip away, and the UCLA game never really got completely out of hand, though UCLA was in control most of the way. I think the more we can have Raegan (and Jelena too) play against talented bigs, the better it will be for her in the long run. When playing the short teams, Jelena (and Raegan) has her way. It will be different when facing the Pac12. The short players are quicker and better jumpers and the bigger players she'll face are solid talents. Raegan just needs to get in there and mix it up with them. She may have a few rough games, but the Beavs will benefit in the years to come. Raegan is looking at a great OSU career.

Angel Jackson, being a 6'5" (listed as 6'6") SENIOR will be Beers best test yet. She averages 23 mpg and is leading the team in rebounding / second in scoring.

According to Massey rating Jackson State will be the best team OSU will play after Duke and Iowa. Should be a good test on whether they have learned score some points.

SCRAP this starting lineup, get players with some energy, tired of always falling behind in the first quarter Talia looks tired and unenthused. Beers about the same.

Pretty tough first half. Beavs offensive woes show back up. They just have a tough time getting clean shots and the ones they do get are mostly misses. Defense looks decent. Down 5 at the half.

What it seems like is nobody is playing relaxed or in rhythm. Scott needs to let them play. Jacking up threes is great when they fall. Driving to the basket is much better when things do not fall. We have had long droughts in the first half. We have regressed if this is acceptable Pac 12 Basketball. Standing around committing turnovers when we cannot finish is a waste.

Talia is 1-8, the majority of which have been open looks. That’ll need to change in the second half.

Great energy to start the third. Bendu is so impressive defensively.
Raegan has been playing strong against the bigger JSU posts.
