You do not need a college degree, or even to have attended college, to play professional football, or any professional sport. No one is stopping anyone from playing professional sports, if they are good enough and meet the eligibility standard of the professional league they aspire to.

If the NCAA's limitations on compensation are a violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act, then shouldn't the NCAA's eligibility limitations be a violation as well? And if it is a violation against the NCAA, isn't it a violation against the entire University system as well??

How hard has NFL's rule that players must be "3 years out of HS" been challenged? Back in the day, you couldn't even go to the NFL until graduating/exhausting eligibility/or whatever. Herschel Walker(!) was the first guy to leave school "early", and that was to go to the USFL. Was it Mike Williams who tried to sue against that 3-year rule and lost? I can't recall the timeline of the NFL draft rules and how much they've been challenged.

The three-year rule is actually an agreement between NFL's management and labor. You are never going to win against a labor agreement, and no one seriously wants that to happen. Because it would completely undermine pretty much all labor agreements. If you want to play before the three years elapses, you can play at any college that accepts you or you can play in a different country.
