I think if you make reservations tomorrow, you'll be OK.

It's going to be held in Portland. With what hotel availability? Plenty of hotels in PDX including massive new 600 room Hyatt Regency at the convention center.

Oh, they’ve already got one. Never mind.

But, people from other parts of the country will be also staying in Wilsonville, Vancouver, Gresham, Hillsboro, and parts in between. Possibly, also, Woodburn and Salem. The light rail look won't help them.

The light rail look won't help them. We’re talking about 3 games. A semifinal double-header and a championship game 2 days later and some promotional events for the media in between. Eugene (a much smaller town than Portland) hosted the world track championships in July and drew 12K +/- per session over 10 days of competition. Fans seemed to manage the logistics pretty well with no hurt feelings that I read of. The arena seats 19K. A big chunk of the tickets will be purchased by Portland Metro/Willamette Valley fans. I’m sure the PDX hotel inventory can easily accommodate the rest. For some reason you seem to have your mind made up that the event is going to be a failure. I won’t waste my time trying to persuade you otherwise. I guess we’ll just have to wait seven years to find out huh? I’ll see ya there.

"For some reason you seem to have your mind made up that the event is going to be a failure." Um ... wrong. Just pointing out that large events in PDX are much more difficult than, say, Eugene. Bye now.

Bye now. That’s just illogical. A bigger city can accommodate a bigger event. Duh. Let me know when Eugene or Spokane or Boise lands the NCAA WBB Championship. Bye now.
