I'm thinking Raegan should be the starting post from this point on to give us the best chance at winning against upcoming stiff competition....She is out-hustling Mit, out-boarding Mit, out-scoring Mit, and despite "only" being 6'4" compared to 6"9" Mit she is creating just as much havoc on defense down low as Mit is. Beers is listed by OSU as 6'2", not the 6'4" height noted above. She will give up some length to opposing 5s, but her physical strength and power seem very advanced for a freshman. She appears to be country strong and should continue to maul smaller interior defenders throughout her OSU career. I very much like what I have seen from her so far with respect to production, competitiveness, and poise. She gives the Beavs an inside power presence that the team has lacked since Ruth Hamblin graduated. Four games into the season, lots to like about what Beers is doing now and should continue to produce for this program throughout her career.

She's not 6'2" This brought back memories, when we really didn't know if we'd get her here or not.

Never understood why this was so hard to get right. If you research, she is 6'2" on a lot of sites, 6'3" on many others. I know they borrow data from the same sources so when it's wrong, it's wrong a lot. This photo: Lily is listed at 6'2", Timea at 6'3" and Adlee at 6'0" on the OSU site so...draw your own conclusions. Moving on.

Thanks greybeav for the photo's documenting RB's 6'4" height!....The 1st photo with the 6'6" KB and the 6'4" Taylor pretty well puts the issue to rest. The 2nd photo makes her look like 6'5" like mb mentions above but RB is standing just a little closer to the camera in that photo which makes her appear a bit taller I think.

I’d like to know what her wingspan is. Her reach looks a lot higher than her height suggests. The NBA is filled with players that are around 6’8” with over 7’ wingspans. Beers strikes me as being in that mold.

Beers strikes me as being in that mold. She "plays tall", I think, for example, watching her in HS against Lauren Betts (6'7") she gave her a lot of problems. Arms do look long, great pic, intimidating:

She's not 6'2" This brought back memories, when we really didn't know if we'd get her here or not. /photo/1 I wish these three were all on the roster together, as expected when this photo was taken. That would have been a special front-court group, able to match up with any team in the country. Not to mention Jelena. Most of the top teams all have this type of depth.

Taylor is 6'4", and Raegan looks to be the same height. Likewise, Kennedy is 6'6", and 2 inches different seems about right.
In terms of the three of them being on the roster together, Raegan did her part; the other 2 didn't. Might as well wish that Britney Griner was playing on our team instead of languishing in a Russian prison. Better to deal with the team we have rather than the one we wished we had.

Agreed. #42 and #44 are quickly fading from my memory. I hope they're finding happiness.

Not my boldest prediction to date on this board, but it does appear that a healthy Raegan Beers who plays four seasons at Oregon State will likely pass Hamblin and then Pivec to become the top rebounder in OSU women's basketball history. It doesn't take a Math major or stats expert to project that probable outcome over a 130+ game collegiate career.
Looking forward to seeing how Beers fares during PAC-12 play. When the opposition has lacked a quality front court and/or paint presence, Beers has punished lesser competition thus far.

Two things I really like about this. Raegan represents herself, her teammates, and the program as good as any player in recent years. Reminds me a lot of Mik, and how great she was for the community.
The second thing I like is that Cori Close liked this post. I've always been a big fan of the way Cori promotes her players, team, and the Pac12....even players that helped beat her team. I am going to miss the way she stands for and promotes the Pac12.

I don't usually listen to these guys' podcast, or most podcasts because of all the "jibber jabber", but the subject matter is good, eventually, jump to 28:20 to skip the rest if you want. Actually, 30:30 they stop talking about t-shirts and get to the point. www.belligerentbeavs.com/podcast/episode-78
