I'm thinking Raegan should be the starting post from this point on to give us the best chance at winning against upcoming stiff competition....She is out-hustling Mit, out-boarding Mit, out-scoring Mit, and despite "only" being 6'4" compared to 6"9" Mit she is creating just as much havoc on defense down low as Mit is. What does everyone think---is it too soon for this to happen and too much to put on the freshman Beers at this point?? And on a side-note and this is a no-brainer that Bendu needs to be in the starting lineup moving forward from here for us to be at our best---she is clearly our quickest player and is a good shooter, good ball-handler, good passer, and excellent defender.

I, for one, agree...but I don't think who starts is all that important. It's about who gets starter-type minutes, and that should be Beers. I think right now SR is starting Mit because she's got seniority. Yes, Bendu has to play as much as possible for the Beavers to succeed. Her addition to the team is huge. The Beavers are just not at the same level without her.

On defense- the PV post just shot over Beers at the mid-range. That same post looked at Mit standing in front of her and passed off the ball. Don't under estimate what Mit can do. She's not going to get a lot of blocks because the other team won't even try it.

What a luxury to have two legit posts that SR can switch out, instead of one of them being a project or someone who is really a forward being forced to play down low (sound familiar?). And Beers? She's unbelievable. What a fantastic addition to the team. Seriously, when was the last time you saw a freshman big - on any team - play like that, especially so early in the season?

Beers has been pretty much everything we could’ve hoped for through three games. She finishes well inside, she uses her frame really well, she’s quick, she’s aggressive, she passes well. Incredibly well rounded post player for a frosh. Hopefully the three ball starts falling.
Obviously the depth charts are much different, but it seems like Scott is much more willing to play Raegan with Jelena than he was Kennedy.
Excited to get Timea back. If she’s on the same level as Raegan, they’ll be a dynamic duo these next few years.
I don’t mind Raegan coming off the bench for Jelena. She provides a nice change of pace and brings energy. I think that’s useful.

TVO! Hope she didn't just put a big weight on Raegan's shoulders 😁

Start or not, Raegan is going to get her minutes. In the last 3 games, she has played slightly more minutes than Jelena. Whoever starts, it's always important to have someone coming off the bench who can put the ball in the basket. If Timea comes back, and is as good as we hope, Raegan may play a better role backing up both Timea and Jelena. We'll just have to wait and see how this develops. With Bendu's return, we will already see a shift in who gets minutes, and that will change even more once Timea is ready to play.

Count me among those who thinks the quantity of minutes played is more important than which minutes they happen to be. Raegan is getting plenty of minutes, and is certainly making the most out of them. It's certainly true that you can't play 36 minutes of a game if you don't play the first 5, but not too many are ever going to play 36.
I'll leave it to Scott to decide which minutes everybody plays, but I would expect that Raegan and Bendu will see an upward trajectory in theirs.

I've got to admit, as a fan I regularly take a few minutes off - sometimes entire quarters. I'd like to say I'll try to do better but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Based on what we've seen so far, people should be taking notice.

I will add that Beers is very polished for a freshman and her game translates well to college. She's already shown that she can dominate against the teams the Beavers have faced. I don't know if she will be as consistent against higher level competition, but she definitely has advantages that other freshmen do not. She relies on her strength and size to both score and rebound and she's already there physically to do so at this level. Her game isn't really to shoot mid-range or further and she has great touch around the basket and the ability to get put-backs. I don't expect Beers to drop off too much, if at all, against Pac-12 teams. And the addition of Yeaney should go a long way in loosening up the inside game for both Beers and Mit.

Can we play defense still if we go twin-towers?
